Proctor & Gamble are recalling 120,000 bottles of Vicks Sinex nasal spray over concerns of bacteria contamination. See article This applies to the UK, USA and Germany.

In the UK, lot 9224028832 of Vicks Sinex Micromist Aqueous Nasal Spray solution in 15ml bottles is being recalled. Consumers worried whether they own one of the affected bottles should call 0800 555 515.

When I was small and had a cold, my Mum would slather me with Vick's vapour rub, then she'd put a dollop in a bit of tissue and make me swallow it.

Normally at this point I give China Oel a mention, however for those of us who are careful with our money, small tubs of menthol crystals are available from a local pharmacy for £1-65 approx.

Normally at this point I give China Oel a mention, however for those of us who are careful with our money, small tubs of menthol crystals are available from a local pharmacy for £1-65 approx.

Only use one Crystal in a bowl of hot water,the first time I used them I put a pinch in and nearly choked on the vapour!

I have to say that I use a generous pinch. Kill or cure.
