Oddly enough when we were in Sweden we went to the cinema which was subtitled into Swedish....we spent the whole film comparing words and many common in the NE are the same

I remember reading somewhere that there were similarities between Geordie and Danish so maybe there was a Scandi influence at some point.

Yes...Miss KT did that DNA thing on her dad....he's 40% Danish,30% Irish and a bit Scottish and German
