No idea Ros …I don’t think they could have crawled in cos they were defo crawling out ….but we couldn’t see from where …there was defo nothing obvious 
But I’ve put bait down now , so if there is a nest the bait should sort that out . Strange thing is I have never seen any * normal * ants .
