When we lived in Colchester, which is really flat, I got homesick for the hills
can imagine yogi - going to Durham is a bit like that - flat
I didn’t realise Durham was flat.
The City is built around a big hill with the Cathedral and Castle on it and the river at the bottom....cross the river and it isn't far to the Penines and go the other way and there's the sea

we stayed in bishop Auckland and is flat - Durham town isn't its a bit up and down but on the way up it gets very flat after Yorkshire and around Alnwick was flat

yes durham is lovely - just travelling up it gets flatter than here
