They cancelled it because the content was to do with a killing in an army barracks, Yogi - and two soldiers will killed in Afghanistan today.

I understand why they cancelled this episode.... but I was really looking forward to Vera...... the series has sort of grown on me...

Lewis (and Morse) always make me laugh - if we drove round Oxford using their sat nav the police would have a field day ... they go up every cobbled street and round every scenic route - I've never once seen them on the ring road

My son has just returned from a stag weekend held for a mate who has recently returned. We've already buried one of his schoolmates. I find it difficult to imagine an appropriate time for such an episode to be shown.

I tried to watch it, but the friggin fake Geordie accents really peed me off, plus it was crap.

Bloody Schipol is Like a Town in itself these days.  

 

We got there and I left me Mr to collect the luggage while I went to smoke, thinking I would go outside.  All of a sudden I found a bar (INDOORS) that said 'you can smoke in here'....I went in.  

 

Little did I know the smoking area was a display cabinet, I got scared.  Then I remembered had someone mistaken me for an Amsterdam prostitute I had plenty of small change. 

In a nutshell. NO!

Kaffy I tried to start a thread about Amsterdam over the weekend, it got thrown in to 'moderation', and it's never been seen since

I was more taken aback by the 'moderation' thing, it's never happened here before, and I thought I had been quite reasonable in my description.

.....and so ends the series. A fascinating array of accents we thought. Some gave up the pretence half way through! The best thing about the series? It was short! Hopefully it will do for Sa Sheels what Morse did for Oxford mind.

I couldn't get into this at all. .the Vera character makes me want to slap the telly screen.. glad to hear it's finished for now
