I'm all excited now, its been 25yrs since its been on....
Kevin Bacon was so yummy in the original
I've got the boxset of the original....ummmed & ahhed bout buying it for OH for Crimbo last year...didn't cos it was 25 quid..& had better things to spend the monies on....then in the Jan sales it went down to a fiver! Bonus!..
I quite liked the original, but being a die hard Sci-fi fan I found it very trite at times.
Thanks for the reminder stonksy ... I loved the original series, but it was on some obscure channel a few months ago and I remember watching it and laughing my head off thinking ... 'This actually scared me at the time' ......????

You would'nt believe the stuff in mine, good job I have two of the things and they are both wedged full....
THEY'VE REMADE V???? Oh WOW! I loved that - can't wait to see it (or maybe not depends how good it is)
BTW Stonks - I used to love Lost in Space too - and it was the first telly programme I can remember watching religiously and being absolute distraught when it ended. It had never occurred to me that it wouldn't just go on forever. "Danger Will Robinson! Danger!"

I love old sci fi like Lost in Space and Land of the Giants. V was awesome, if you watch more modern sci fi (like Independence day) you can see some bits that have been pinched from V.
I met Marc Singer who played Mike Donovan a few years back at a convention. I used to have the biggest crush on him - he was really nice and friendly

I've no idea what you're talking about Stonsky.
Can I say I was a big Trumpton fan? That's as far out as I go.

where were you hiding all your life..away from tellies....
You know I led a sheltered life. I still worry about Hugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub to this day.
I loved the film with Sigourney Weaver & Tim Allen....where they were actors that are recruited by real aliens.....can't remember it's name ..but was funny!!
Well that was good ... I was a bit afraid that it would come across as quite corny, still referring to them as 'Visitors' etc. ... but I did enjoy it ... and not a red jumpsuit in sight ...

I remember my mother dressing up as an alien from V for a Halloween fancy dress competition years ago when the first series just came out ... She made my dad bring home loads of bubble wrap from work, painted it green and sewed it onto a red jumpsuit ... She could never understand how she didn't win any prizes for it ...
