Prawns .....one day out of date and I'm still here

are you typing from the loo?

I'll use milk until it stops smelling ok, but that works two ways - I'll chuck it out if it's in date and smells a bit creamy.    I'd not eat prawns out of date - but I'm a bit of a wuss that way.

and me .If it's out of date it goes in the bin .

The sell by date is there for a reason, why else put it there?

It's only a guide though. It's not set in stone

But it's a guide to indicate when you should eat it and when your Prawns should go in the bin

If it's a sell by or best before it's a guide - like best before on bread - it won't be mouldy, but it'll probably only be good for toasting.   If it's use by it's a 'safer not to eat it and don't come crying to us if you do and wake up dead'
