After passing my driving test this was the first CD that came to hand and this was the track that always sends me back to that special day.

Noooooo... it turned out great in the end, but you know when you think you finally have a whole day to yourself, with peace and quiet to concentrate on what you're doing, but the phone never stops ringing?
In my house its a never ending stream of kid/teenagers knocking on the door for my kids,.
Friendships are just great eh Tiddly? I`ve got marvelous friends too, some lifelong. I feel blessed to have them all, especially my sister.

Lainy, go the youtube song you want then at the very top of your page http//etc (address bar) right click on it, copy and paste it into the green film sign thingy to the right of the smiley face. Good luck.
I've so many songs that remind me of times in my life. Some happy and some sad. Some I can't listen to yet and some I play over and over.
Sinead O'Conner - Nothing compares to you. I chose this for my dads funeral a few months ago as it was his favourite song. Can't bring myself to listen to it again though.
Gloria Gaynor - I will survive. The anthem that helped me through a very messy break up with the father of my girls. I listen to it loads.
QFX - Freedom. The first song I played when I got my first flat. Still a fave.

If it comes on the radio do you sing it at the top of your voice, then realise your windows are rolled down? I do that a lot with my faves Reference:

Awww Cags, I'm the same, there's still songs I can't listen too, they are too painful a reminder....
What a lovely thread Tiddly
Gawd! There are so many songs associated with memories, some good and some bad,but all of them have their place in my heart and always will have
Not one of my favourite songs, but I was in Portugal on holiday........on a make or break girly holiday from Mr S.
It was played all the time, and though I'm not that keen on it.......It always reminds me of how I nearly let the old git slip through my fingers

Thank you Triggers We`re so close we can almost read each other`s minds. There`s a lot of "I knew you were going to say that...I knew you were thinking that" goes on between us. Reference: Marguerita
I cant do videos Tiddly if I could I would pick a special one for you and your special lady/friend I know who you are talking about, she is lovely classy and has charisma and has always been there for me and still is I agree with all of your post, I am so happy you both hit it off so well with each other I never doubted it any other way, you are both lovely down to earth people
Well said Marguerita I agree! They`ve been great online pals for years and now they`ve met....They`ve become close friends and I`ve no doubt, as they`ve both said...it will be lifelong. They adore each other.

If you don`t have anything nice to say in this thread...say nothing. I just saw your post in the troll tank SIT. Not nice.
Joybringer by Manfred man. I love that song and it reminds me of my school leaving disco.
In fact I love most of the Manfred man songs.
I have tried to post it here but I just get whirring cogs and I have wasted about an hour of my time.

What lovely stories and great music in here.... I have so many songs that remind me of happy times, sad times, loved ones who have departed, overcoming adversity: this one reminds me of a time, after an EBG concert, when, after heartache, I realised that I had found a way to love and trust again, which I hadn't thought would ever be possible, so walking hand-in-hand along Newcastle quayside afterwards, I danced with happiness
Scotty. Oggbad. Thankyou both for your help. I am going to try again and see what happens.
This is one of the most beautiful songs ever, and it just reminds me of my late teenage years Clifford T. Ward was one of the best ever singer/songwriters. May he R.I.P.

The Dive Bar, nr. Bromley when dinosaurs still roamed the earth.......
I missed many a last train home because of this tune. So....there we'd be, a bunch of underaged girls tottering through the woods (pitch black and creepy..!) all moaning that their parent's would kill 'em if they knew what they were up to.
Happy days.

This is what we sang in the jacuzzi on the top terrace, under the stars, when we came back from a Rat Pack Tribute night at the Polo House. Frank and Deano were ace!
I`m loving these songs and your memories.
This is for my dear old Mum. It was used in an advertisement for cancer sufferers (Eva) I listened to many times before she passed but couldn`t listen to it for a long time after...I can now. Time heals.
