I don't think it's a case of "getting away with it" I think it's more a case of no fear of the punishment.

How do you know they are academically challenged?

If they had paid attention to their education they would have known that trying to defend their case against criminal damage will not work by using text speak or racial discrimination.

Actually, thinking about it, if they had been raised by decent parents and not dragged up by foetus producing scum who defend their offspring's behaviour no matter how pre-meditated or vitriolic then there wouldn't be a criminal case to answer in the first place.

Im sorry, but for all you know they might be highly gifted and rebelling. An individuals  academic ability has nothing to do with their lack of morals. Some serial killers have exceptionally high IQ's. 

You can see them all quite clearly on the film so even if the school and parents won't do anything I'm sure some good people out there who recognise them will let the police know and they'll deal with them.

Oh indeed, I don't dispute that. But this is about a group of teenagers who chose to terrorise a local shopkeeper in what has been stated wasn't an isolated incident.

This is the girl's defence:

If they're so highly academically gifted then I struggle to see how one of those involved would choose the username 'urmum1' let alone use a barrage of text speak to publicly defend their position in what could result in criminal charges being brought against them.

Couldn't see someone academically gifted using that in court to defend themselves, tbh. But again, IMO, obvs.

all of the girls have been identified.....i know of one who has been visited by the police.not sure of the others yet........they're all 14-15 bar one who is 16.........reason i know is cos they're at my youngests school.....2 of them are in her class.....
