No but a friend of mine back in the 80s was walking home from his allotment one night when he looked up and ducked coz he saw something above him which he described as a very large triangle with a light at each corner. It scared the crap out of him and he was in the local paper describing his experience. He was sober and he told me it was real and it frightened him.

Yes and it scared the S**t out of him. He said it was the size of a football pitch, and it was late at night so no wonder it scared him.

Air Force on 'manouvres' ?

Not where we live- and it was a single object flying slowly and silently.

After millennia of battle the surviving G'Gugvuntt and Vl'hurg realised what had actually happened, and joined forces to attack the Milky Way in retaliation. They crossed vast reaches of space in a journey lasting thousands of years before reaching their target where they attacked the first planet they encountered, Earth. Due to a terrible miscalculation of scale the entire battle fleet was swallowed by a small dog. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy states that this sort of thing happens all the time.

Always makes me laugh.

Tori, the description your friend gave fits the kind of craft seen by many around the world over the years. Because of it's size they're usually thought to be Motherships which are carrying smaller crafts that are released over any area they have an interest in.

One of the most famous recorded sightings of a craft that your friend saw is known as The Phoenix Lights. It was witnessed, photographed and video'd by hundreds of people over many miles across Phoenix. Many documentaries have been made about it.
