Whooo hoo...the lads are still in
I'm really delighted Fairfax but theres going to be more abuse for John and Edward now and they really don't deserve it, people entitled not to like them if they say we don't think you can sing or we don't like you but the abuse some have against them is vile.

They're the same age as me and I say good on them for coming out happy and smiling every week for having fun. They looked really upset on Xtra Factor and Holly was being very patronising, their poor parents having to sit there every week whilst some morons in the audience boo them, not their fault they got more votes than Lucie but they will have to bare the brunt of an already increasing backlash when in fact Simon is the person to blame...

Danni and Cheryl are really getting on my nerves now...they both have a permanent look of contempt on their faces..unless its their artist. Then as soon as the camera pans in,they grin their fake plastic smiles
The twins are still there and as its by virtue of the public vote, the public gets what the public wants.
Any pretence of these shows being about sheer musical talent have gone.People vote for whoever entertains them..simple.I hardly watched last years (and the butchering of Hallelujah was a criminal offence)...but this year I'm watching to see what the twins do next.I think Simon Cowell is clapping his hands together with glee that he's been responsible  for the vilification and hence cult following of the twins.Without them the tired old format would be facing dwindling numbers, like BigBrother.

From the Daily Star:

The Facebook fiend whose vile threats led to a security lock down on X Factor twins John and Edward Grimes on Friday claimed it was “just a laugh’”.

Nightclub DJ Pete Williams, 24, launched a sick hate campaign on the social networking site.

He threatened to harm the 18-year-old Irish identical twins if one million web users joined his group.

Facebook officials shut down Williams’s webpage.

But at the red-brick terrace he shares with his mum in Wallasey, Merseyside, last night he laughed: “Caused offence? That’s f***ing hilarious!”

Morons, over a Saturday and Sunday night TV show, some really need to get a life.

Agree with you

As much as I think the Twins shouldn't still be there, I did think that their performance on Saturday and the sing-off, was their best performance.  I actually felt rather sorry for them Sunday night.  They clearly looked upset, even though they were obviously pleased to still be there.  They seem nice lads and don't deserve the vitriol being aimed at them.

Simon should be ashamed of himself as he copped out big time last night. After weeks of slagging them off and going on about the show being a singling contest, he had the opportunity to get rid of them but decided to put it to the public vote.  Idiot.

Another example of some idiotic morons who with their vile abuse towards John and Edward can't get it through to their brain it's just a TV show, reading some of the horrible stuff on the net by some people you'd think they go around mugging old ladies, gosh some really need to grow up big time
Absolutely awful, the twins have don't nothing to warrant this kind of abuse at all. Their anger should be directed at Simon Cowell if anyone, some people are taking this way too seriously.

Liam Gallagher: I'd Smack X Factor's Jedward Twins

Liam Gallagher has waded into the Jedward row.

The Oasis singer, who is estranged from sibling Noel, said: "I know all about annoying f****** brothers. But nobody comes close to them. How do you not smack them? What the f*** is happening to British music?" Liam, who was at South Kensington's Gore Hotel, added: "And what are those things on their heads?"

That's not very nice is it, and coming from him as well.
You wouldn't expect them to condone that sort of thing.
What is the world coming to?

And I don't like their Music either.

Seriously - does anyone think they have talent and will genuinely last In short - do they have the X Factor?
Hi Renton, I do think they're talented (certainly entertaining!) and am enjoying them on XFactor. I guess the jurys out on how long they will last or what medium of entertainment they will slot into. Could well be a flash in the pan but they make me smile, and at the moment thats no bad thing.

Bump, *shouts I like John and Edward and proud of it*.

Last week was a close call for the fans so this week they will be trying their best to save them, more fun as usual I really don't or hope they leave because it would be so dull without them, in a way it would be good if they did go as then people would hopefully leave them alone and stop the abuse...
