i just started watching THE THICK OF IT..blimey, they swear more than me..and me & lisa started watching THE WRONG MANS..funny stuff

Malcolm Tucker stands as one of the effing-great comic creations.

"The Wrong Mans" was one of those great "finds". It's very skilfully constructed: I remember James Corden saying that one of the main influences was "24".

If you can, try to watch both series straight through...

What a thing to say!  Is she a tinker in a horse drawn caravan

No, just a shop owner selling dresses which seem far too expensive for what they are.

I think he had not taken into account the size of the US.

Remember Eden? Looks like it's over - only ten made it to the end. They kept filming themselves, but no footage will be shown  Seems very strange!

There'll be a second series though.

Awww no I really enjoyed what we saw ...and thought it had possibilities

Oooops sorry! Think I misread the Guardian article...they might show some retrospective footage, we just don't know how many episodes, or when:

Is anyone watching Prime Suspect 1973?

I loved the original series but I can't get into this prequel.

Me neither Yogi ...it's very disappointing !

TBH, I was rather wary of it. The omens weren't good after Lynda La Plante (who was meant to write it) left the project after "a row with producers over the portrayal of particular characters, Tennison in particular".

I'm still watching it, but more out of habit now than anything-else.

I didn't know that, but it explains a lot.

I am really enjoying Great Continental Railway Journeys with Michael Portillo.

I am finding the programme quite educational not to mention seeing things I have not seen before and different countries.

Using what looks like an original 1913guidebook by Bradshaw.

I like those programmes too EC ....and yes , I believe it is an original Bradshaw  Fascinating looking back at how things were viewed on the eve of WW1 .

Talking of conflicting shows...

Been meaning to post about his for ages: is anyone-else watching "Inside No 9"?

4th episode of the current series tonight (that's counting the Christmas special). It's been exceptionally good so far, but boy: is it dark! Last week's episode seemed to be trying to set a record for how bleakly dark it could get...

Not heard of it ....what channel is it on ?

BBC2 - 10pm tonight.

It's a series of one-off comedy-dramas written and performed by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith from the League of Gentlemen.

Apart from being very dark, the only thing the episodes have in common with each other is that they are all set in a house, room or whatever labelled "No 9".

I think some of you have seen it before but still...

I've just noticed that BBC2 are repeating "The 12 Days of Christine" from Series 2 of "Inside No 9" tonight at 10pm tonight  (Tuesday). It stars Sheridan Smith, and is generally considered one of the best episodes of the show.

Not sure why they're showing it - it doesn't look (at least at the moment) like they're repeating the whole 2nd series...
