And I have just watched the final Unforgotten. Brilliant. That is all
That's a lot of stuff finished or nearly finished. I hope they find some decent series for the next few weeks!
I have now got caught up on Good Karma Hospital .......nice comfortable Sunday night viewing ....and gorgeous scenery.
After being made to watch the garbage that is Carry on Midwife I made an executive decision not to catch up Taboo but watch SS-GB instead. I read the book a lifetime ago. It's not the same as the novel but very well done and Pete Docherty and Kate Bottley took excellent parts.
I quite like the idea of an early Prime Suspect, but I found the first Broadchurch a bit over rated and the second one not as good.

Ditto....on all counts GJ
I liked the first Broadchurch but the second one wasn't as good. Fingers crossed the third one is more like the first.

I enjoyed the first few episodes of series 1....but felt it went on far to long .....and agree the second series wasn't up to much
I'm really looking forward to Broadchurch and catching up with the characters. I wonder whatever happened to the Pauline Quirk characted from the first series?

Ooh - wasn't expecting Lenny Henry to turn up in Broadchurch!

I wouldn't have recognised him if I hadn't known, he looks different to how I remember.
My first Broadchurch theory ... more than one man. I reserve the right to change said theory on a regular basis
I watched Broadchurch last night ...and quite enjoyed it ...hope it continues that way ...thought "Hayley" was good ....I never saw Lenny Henry though

I thought "Hayley" was excellent, as were David and Olivia. Very sensitively handled.
Lenny owns the place where "Hayley" works.

Are you on again Saint?

I thought it was all performed and handled very well too.
The Radio Times critic is already suggesting that this third series might even be better than the first. While we're going to have to wait and see on that one, it's definitely got potential.

A very good start, let's hope it continues.

Simply not posh enough

Finally got around to watching it ,and tbh I wasn't keen on the staff full stop
After giving up on the last season of Top Gear half way through I have decided to watch tonights opener for the series on BBC Two HD. They have reverted to a three man presentation team, they have looked at a super expensive car, used a high pressure water jet to vandalise things and conducted a two part film driving three high mileage cars in Kazakhstan where they have hit each other 'accidentally', had a speed test, raced in a quarry and now we are in the final throws of the film. Not forgetting a star in a now expensive car and some jokes which were toe curlingly bad and desperately needed the canned laughter they daubed on top.
This show is still too close to the Clarkson/May/Hamster series. I'm still not impressed and I will watch with great interest how the viewing figures turn out.
Le Blanc being the only element I like.
I watched The Replacement on catchup today ... enjoyed that
Watched the second part of Broadchurch today ....and am enjoying it much more than series 2 .....the characters seem to have more depth ....and it's much more like a traditional whodunnit....which suits me fine

Been recording this, but haven't got round to seeing it yet because of a lot of conflicting shows. Heard good things about it, though.

Talking of conflicting shows...
Been meaning to post about his for ages: is anyone-else watching "Inside No 9"?
4th episode of the current series tonight (that's counting the Christmas special). It's been exceptionally good so far, but boy: is it dark! Last week's episode seemed to be trying to set a record for how bleakly dark it could get...

BBC2 - 10pm tonight.
It's a series of one-off comedy-dramas written and performed by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith from the League of Gentlemen.
Apart from being very dark, the only thing the episodes have in common with each other is that they are all set in a house, room or whatever labelled "No 9".
Watching The Replacement... creepy, don't like it but its good
