Have we all watched Marcella now?

I liked it Rexi

There wasn't a goodie in it. How the writer sits down and constructs these things I'll never know.

I loved it, except for the last episode. I have a million questions. Like, why the hell did she move the body, for starters ...

Yeah; you, me and every other viewer...

I think the idea is that we only know what Marcella knows: she never remembers exactly what happened, so we're never shown it. Speaking personally, I'm normally OK with that sort of ambiguous ending, but I did find this one a little disappointing.

Still enjoyed the series overall - even if they did pinch the main twist from Agatha Christie...

Agree with all of that Eugene - did enjoy it overall.    Even though it took about half an hour for my heart rate to return to normal after that last scene when she turned over on her bed and came face to face with 'Henry'!

Did anybody watch The Secret?     I watched it.. i thought it was well done, but can't say I enjoyed it really....  the whole thing left me feeling really unsettled for some reason (not to mention a bit grubby...)      Very forgiving, some spouses though...

I didn't watch it as being from Norn Iron I remember the real case. There was a documentary on it which still haunts me... the chopped up tablets in the tuna bap . And yes, it left you feeling grubby, as you say. How could they have done it? They must have had ice in their veins.

How did they portray the murderers Kaffy? I get the feeling they made the James Nesbit character out to be the driving force?

Hmm.. he was the one who came up with the plan, Rog - but she went along with it, although you got the feeling she was half thinking 'what am I doing?' - but at the same time was willing to let him convince her it was somehow 'right'    I still don't know if he was just a monster (obviously he was) or if he truly believed that God was on his side and that he was doing what God wanted.  Amazed that his second wife (initially) and her husband accepted what they'd done and continued to support them unquestioningly.      Certainly made me question their religion...

Thanks for that Kaffy. Reminds me of that saying "the devil could quote scripture for his own purpose".

I watched the Secret and , as I knew nothing of the original case , I treated it as any other * true life * drama and actually quite enjoyed it . I am not sure how true to life the characterisations  were but I agree that the various spouses were very forgiving  . Personally if my husband had done half what the James Nesbits character did  I would have been out the door like a shot ....and straight down to the nearest police station !! The bit I found almost more disturbing was the churches roll ...which  really stuck in my craw !!

What channel Rosie ?

CBS Reality [ on Freeview ]  Donal McIntyre is the presenter Baz.

I think I'm taking after my Nana... she was always taking grisly true crime books out at the library
