Am currently watching "The Mad World of Donald Trump" on C4.

Does anyone want to bet on how long I can last before throwing the laptop through the TV screen?

About 2 minutes Eugene !!

Incredibly, I made it to the end - mainly thanks to Matt Frei, who was excellent as always.

Some quotes from "Trump-watchers":

"He's a buffoon, but he's a buffoon that has to be taken seriously."

Frei himself said he'd not seen this level of support for a politician since Obama first ran for President.

Re his comments about women: "It's an eleven year old boy who's been sent to boarding school."

"It surprises me that any woman in America can vote for this guy. They must be out of their heads!" - That was Selina Scott, who was subjected to a torrent of abuse and hate mail from Trump after she did a profile programme years ago about him, but he didn't like the result.

Oh, and his ex-wife Ivana accused him of rape in her divorce deposition.  (Expect to hear a lot more about this if he actually does become the Republican candidate.)

The only thing I will say in his favour is this: I hadn't seen the speech Sarah Palin made in his support in full before, but having seen it tonight, she makes Trump look sane.

Good grief !!!!

I'm quite enjoying War and Peace.  It's been 'sexed-up a bit  - well, more than a bit -  but the costumes are gorgeous and the scenery is spectacular (who'd have guessed it was filmed in Milton Keynes).*

Also, the Tom Burke character, Dolokov, is devilishly attractive

* Not really

Me too, Madame.  It's an enjoyable romp so to speak.  Did you know that Tom Burke's godfather was Alan Rickman?

I'm also planning on watching The Real Marigold Hotel (on catch up).  Some of the cast look interesting enough, others not quite so much

Yes 'romp' is a good word to describe it, Cosi!  I didn't know about the Tom Burke\Alan Rickman link.

I agree with you about Marigold Hotel.  Some potentially annoying people taking up temporary residence there!

Really felt for Corries Audrey tonight, great scene, the fear of being alone when 'it' strikes...

Yes, Syd, it was very moving I thought.  Contrast that with the scene with Mary after being caught 'at it' with Brendan and,  shame-faced, telling Dev she needed ten minutes before she could carry on preparing the crumble
