I watched the first episode of From Darkness but couldn't get into it.

I am enjoying Unforgotten though.

Oh well, 1 out of 2 isn't bad Yogi I gave up on River ....

Yes: and both new detective shows. I thought that was odd too.

Funnily enough, of those three shows (Unforgotten, River and From Darkness), "Unforgotten" is the only one I'm not currently watching!

I found it odd that Ruth was in both ....in fact that's why I think I gave up on River .....plus I found the start very confusing ....and the main cop a bit meh .....but might give it another try sometime in the future .

I still think of her as "Ruth" too.

from darkness is stupid

she acts like a copper but she's not

they pull her in because of murders from way back & they want her help

yet EVERYTHING is in her report that they keep waving under her nose ie they could consult that, so shes no need to be there, but of course she probably does but they dont know that initially

she finds an envelope on her desk which freaks her out but instead of going to front desk & asking who handed it in or checking cctv cameras or asking which cop put it on the desk she does nothing

its

STUPID

thats it really

well its annoying isnt it

Thought it looked like corny old carp from the trailers! Glad I gave it a swerve now

Have caught up with the first few episodes of 'River' via the miracle that is iplayer.

I didn't engage with it straight away and thought I'd give it my usual '20 minute test' after which I would have gone off and done something else (life being too short to spend it watching something you don't like).  But I soon became engrossed in it and watched the next two episodes straight off (binge-watching I believe they call it).

It's not like any other police series I've seen and it deals with such issues as grief and mental illness.

Uncomfortable viewing at times but I found it riveting stuff and the lead actor, Stellan SkarsgÃĨrd, is a tour de force

When and where does that start please Rexi?

Next week sometime, I saw the trailer but I forget when it said.

I won't do a Renton style Hope That Helps ... coz I know it didn't

It hasn't been officially mentioned by ITV but ITV2 presenter Laura Whitmore retweeted the following from the official Jonathan Ross Show Twitter: "Tune into the return of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here on 15th November at 9pm with @antanddec. #ImACeleb"

Yayyyyy Thanks Renton

For me you can't beat a documentary about a musician talking about his life and work interspersed with songs.

45 minutes in and I am really enjoying this doc.

I forgot it was on TBH. My era, although I didn't like everything that they did

I didn't get the impression he didn't like her, but felt that as they spent little or no time together when he was 5yr onwards the connection was just not that strong.

However when he was talking about her earlier I did note some emotion.

It probably feels quite harsh presented this way, but if that was a broader conversation I think we may get a better understanding of their relationship.

Makes me want to go out and buy more music by PF & DG et al.

Not everything they produced was good, but better than some

(I'm in me time warp zone again, aren't I)   It's what I picked up off me bruvvers.....ten years between one of us and about 8/9 between the other

I have the entire collection bootlegs and all. I enjoyed 50% of the doc so far. I left my iPad at m'mum's last Sunday and have just retrieved it ( I find this site difficult on m'phone ) but can now point out what utter carp the last two nights have been on the tellybox. We watched a film called "The Drop" on Saturday night but managed to catch 15 mins of X Factor. It's a gonner, isn't it? Tonight was even worse, so we ended up watching "Gangs of NY." Neither of us had seen it before.

They really are going to have to sort weekend television out.
