I agree: I thought it was probably the strongest episode of this series so far.

ITV are gits! I knew they were gonna do it but it still annoyed me when the credits rolled! I really hope it's a guilty but can't see it being that clean cut... It will either be not guilty or if he is found guilty we will find out he's actually not in some really frustrating last scene! (Broadchurch)

As for fortitude, watched first eppy last night and I'm not gripped, I found it all a bit weird... Might give another eppy a go... But dunno if I can be bothered... It must get better... Anyone watched more than the first one?

I'm totally confused (which I guess is the whole point) but am ever hopeful that it'll all become clear.  I'll need names and faces and a very slow explanation 'cos I'm whooshing too!

At least I know what's happening in Wolf Hall

Still not watched Fortitude; reviews are a very mixed and it sounds a bit rubbish.  Then again, there's always Stanley Tucci to lure me in....

Stellar cast but I have been warned to avoid at all costs, let me know if it's a slow burner (Fortitude)..I've not watched Broadchurch yet...that is going to happen in the next 15 minutes

I'm not sure it's mine tbh - sounds a bit futuristic

I'm not sure Cosi, the trailer looked really good, but anyone I have spoken too that have watched have all reached the same conclusion ,,,it's naff so far

not guilty (broadchurch) ...although I haven't a clue really

I watched  the first episode of 'The casual vacancy' - BBC1 - I was hoping that it would be as good as the book(J K Rowling), I was a bit dubious at first because the  screenplay writer's idea of the location seemed at odds with mine, and there was a whole series of small clips, which seemed unrelated, that made me frown, until I realised it was a mechanism for introducing the characters and then it just took off, I loved it and know that  the story  becomes intertwined and complex.

I'm looking forward to watching it - but they've changed bits of the book apparently - and  the ending because they thought the original wasn't quite right for Sunday night viewing...

Yes, I had a feeling that some of what I was watching, wasn't as I remebered it, but  I expect the adaptation for tv will be as good as the book.

I'm having a hard time remebering the ending, I do remember instantly taking to the awful Crystal, such a well written character and well portrayed in the series.

Your memory's as bad as mine.  I had to google when I read that they'd changed it.. .then it all came back to me.

Ahh, I'm get what you mean now   Yeah, I have a feeling that I'm going to dislike it too (hark at me writing it off before I've even seen it ).  I know what will happen...I'll record half a dozen episodes, realise that I'm running out of space due to ALL THE OTHER programme series that I'm recording....and delete the lot without watching any of it.

I've recorded The Casual Vacancy too.  As it's only 3 episodes it's got a good chance of staying safely on the "to watch" list - and then there's the 1st episode of Indian Summer (that's on series record too) to catch up on.

Which begs the question...what the hell am I watching in real time that's more interesting than any of the above?

Yes Jen, it's been an interesting series. A few of us have been contributing to a dedicated thread. I think it may clash with things that others watch.

Auto correct, but given how people feel about Monica it's probably quite accurate.
