Yeah!

Could never see what the menfolk saw in that Valene - skinny emotional wreck she was!

She was the homespun southern belle - and 'trailer trash' according to JR.

He had a way with words lurking under that big ol' 10 gallon hat

Oooh who was that? There were the Mackenzies (Mac and Karen), I had a bit of a thing for Mac cos he was like a 'yeah..no problem, I'll sort it out' kinda fella. (And he proper loved Karen)

Then there was Gary and Val. Gary was alright but he entertained Val and her prissy foolishness and he pissed me off. He made a good alcoholic

I can't remember any of the rest? Oh apart from the lawyer bloke but he looked like a monk.

Oooh I dunno! I only saw him on KL.

Gary ran off with Abby but went running back to Val, which I was sort of happy about cos I kinda loved and hated Abby. Plus I think it was around then that Val grew a bollock and actually managed to raise her voice at something.

on topic.... I loved Moonlighting, Cos - and I'd forgotten all about it.   I put my hands up to having a thing for Bruce back in the day.         I used to like Falcon Crest too.

The early series were the best, K-Bo

I used to love it when he go into his random singing moments;  the Temptations even popped up in the middle of the office (which amused me NO end)

Never saw FC.  Wasn't that Ronnie's ex missus as the matriarch?

It's when you start looking like Val then it's time to seek help

Fair do's, even Val doesn't look like Val

Which reminds me....has anyone seen Carole Malone and her trout pout?

She was on the telly the other day and her lips are independant from the rest of her face

He was Karms!    A man who looks good in a suit and a sweaty dirty vest - what more could a girl want? (apart from paolo nuttini)

They were - all the 'will they, won't they' stuff too... it lost a little bit of its edge after the 'did' - but it wasn't as big a let down as it might have been.    The songs got him a brief musical careeer too remember - couple of Drifters numbers if I remember rightly (she said nonchalantly, conveniently forgetting she bought the cassette at the time....)

Yep - ronnies missus... Jane Wyman was the matriarch.    Can't remember much about it now.. only that I never missed it and the men all had names like Trey and Chase...

Goodness knows....she as a supposedly educated woman of the media....must have spotted the trouts and failed trouts, and fallout trouts........yet she still wanted a trout.....

It is beyond me........(said from a mouth that was once pouty but now thinner with age)

Love this thread! I've been catching up with some reruns of thirtysomething recently. Gawd, I loved it at the time but now it seems like the biggest load of yuppie, navel gazing introspective claptrap. 'Quincy M.E.' will always hold a special place in my heart, and I used to adore the old tear jearking mini-series like 'Mistral's Daughter' and 'Lace'.
