Oooh who was that? There were the Mackenzies (Mac and Karen), I had a bit of a thing for Mac cos he was like a 'yeah..no problem, I'll sort it out' kinda fella. (And he proper loved Karen)

Gary ran off with Abby but went running back to Val, which I was sort of happy about cos I kinda loved and hated Abby. Plus I think it was around then that Val grew a bollock and actually managed to raise her voice at something.

Kaffy yes! Moonlighting! That's where Bruce Willis got his break wasn't it? He was damn fine in it, too (He was also very fine in the Die Hard films apart from the last one cos he was starting to look a bit like an egg that had been boiled for too long)

They were - all the 'will they, won't they' stuff too... it lost a little bit of its edge after the 'did' - but it wasn't as big a let down as it might have been.    The songs got him a brief musical careeer too remember - couple of Drifters numbers if I remember rightly (she said nonchalantly, conveniently forgetting she bought the cassette at the time....)

Love this thread! I've been catching up with some reruns of thirtysomething recently. Gawd, I loved it at the time but now it seems like the biggest load of yuppie, navel gazing introspective claptrap. 'Quincy M.E.' will always hold a special place in my heart, and I used to adore the old tear jearking mini-series like 'Mistral's Daughter' and 'Lace'.
