Flambards
It was a Sunday afternoon ritual - after lunch, parents would take little brothers out for a drive and I would offer to stay home and do the dishes. I'd do them in time to sit down and enjoy Flambards, uninterrupted. Bliss!
Brookside (in the early days - Damon & Debbie)
Ally McBeal (the dancing baby -freaky but funny)
God Cinds.. I wept buckets at Damon and Debbie! I loved early Brookie (barry grant phwoar!)
I'd forgotten the dancing baby in Ally McBeal! That was a great show thinking back.
On a cheesey soap note... I also used to love A Country Practice, remember watching it at lunchtimes (that and Sons and Daughters) I think Australia only have about a dozens actors and actresses though - the same ones would pop up in every programme.
for some reason this has reminded me of Captain Planet - does anyone remember it?
And on the topic of kids TV, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles need a mention!
As a child I loved Pogles Wood.
So much so I bought the videos as an adult when they were released so I could show them to my nieces.....they weren't impressed.
I don't ever remember seeing Pogles Wood, but the OH does and he's a fan.
So much so, that when there was a programme coming up on BBC3 about Oliver Postgate, the OH went "Yay...Pogles"

Oliver Postgate was also responsible for Bagpuss and The Clangers.

I know, and Ivor The Engine. And he also had the most cosy, comforting voice of any children's telly narrator. Wonderful.

I loved SArah and Hoppity .........strangely not a lot of people remember that one - I don't think it can have been on for long.
i also remember Torchie and Twizzle - the Woodentops and Rag, Tag and bobtail deserve a mention too ............oooooooh and Andy Pandy of course.
Moonlighting! Al Jarreau sang the theme and Bruce and Cybil posed in their shoulder pads. Agnes Di Pesto was ace
@ Erin. I loved "Will and Grace".
Its a Knockout.....and the commentator that laughed all the way through it (can't remember his name) made me laugh......

Haven't read this thread but I loved the re-runs of Dallas they showed last year on one of the cable channels. JR's a legend (Dynasty tried to be a bit like Dallas but the prissy pretentious women on there knocked me sick - apart from Alexis, she was the bollocks)
I also LOVED Knots Landing when it was on and watched the whole lot again when it was shown in the early 90's.

I used to watch that
I can't remember his name now but he was very cute
