I've just finished watching all 4 series' of Prison Break. I hadn't bothered watching when they were on TV as I missed the first two eps and if I don't see something from the start I won't bother with it. My mate kept banging on about it so I decided to give it a go and was glad I did. Only problem is, now that it's over, I've nothing to watch! I've heard 24 is good and maybe Heros? Anyone got anything else they would recommend?

The New V and as for Gene Hunt - new levels of yum
Oh umm he's a bit 'old style' for me but a good looking man definitly makes a series more watchable for me. There's a whole heap of yummy men in Prison Break.
I never used to be a fan of American TV but I love 'The Sopranos', 'Six Feet Under' and 'Frasier'
I loved 'The Killing' but 'Spiral' is proving a bit too gory for me
The Swedish 'Wallander' is a goer, though. I'd recommend that over the Branagh version

I've only ever seen the Swedish one...it's good.
from my early years is this...
I loved:
Six Feet Under, ER, The X-Files and Lost.
Six Feet Under is an incredible TV show, the only series that had me in floods of tears at the finale.......it's so well done.
I also cried buckets at Dr Greene's exit in ER, it affected me so badly!!
I stopped watching ER before the final series though, and felt like it should have ended a few years before it bowed out.
Dexter is also excellent, but I have yet to see the third and fourth seasons.
Heroes' first season is very good, but I didn't enjoy the way the storyline developed after that.
I know this isn't about years ago and nostalgia and all that but .............there was an American programme on TV when I was a kid called 'The Monroes' - I used to love that.
Does anyone else remember it?
Don't watch much tele, but what was that Jimmy McGovern one where a split second decision changed the course of people's lives? Loved it... ah, I remembered: The Street...brilliant

Loved Little house on the Prairie..........cried every time......
Katerina.... I loved LOST and was a bit too fanatical about it kept up with everything online and was a member of a few LOST forums. ER was another fav but like you I missed the last series and also felt it should have finished long before.
I've heard Dexter might be good to watch, I did watch one ep but didn't get hooked. But if you haven;t watched Prison Break I think you'd like it....quite a few LOST actors in it so that's always good

Thanks Croc ...........after posting I googled and read the Wikki - we loved that in our house - it must have been on , on a night when there wasn't a dart match, cos I remember watching it as a family - Dad too

I saw the first two series of Prison Break but missed it after it went to Sky, must try and catch up with the later episodes. I was totally hooked on the first series, the cliffhanger endings were brilliant weren't they.
T-Bag is one of the best characters ever
Awww, me too! And I had a little bit of a teenage crush on Michael Landon

Great call .............can't imagine why it's not on one of the endless channels we have these days.
I''ll give you Little House on the Prairie - and raise you The Waltons!

We tried to set it up to record the series but the option wasn't there.

I'm another Lost fan... and ER fan.. but another who stopped watching before the last series. I think I gave up when Carter left.
Right now though, I'm absolutely loving Julianna Marguiles in The Good Wife.. tucked away on More4 - god knows why.
Katerina T-Bag is a brilliant character, which sounds a bit weird considering how evil he is! I loved his mannerisms and even tho he's a creepy killer there was something about him I think a mix of Michaels brain, Lincs brawn and Sucre's look is a recipe for a perfect man, for me anyway
Kaffy LOST was phenomenal for those who stuck it out, I was pissed off with the ending but apart from that it's been the best series on TV in a long time. The Good Wife sounds good....I like the promos for it so might hunt that down.

Okay, I'll admit to a little bit more then

Well it is set in the 1970's Ella.
Poldark.
Going some way back, strangely I can mostly only remember comedies
Cheers back in the day, The Cosby Show, also back in the day but I'd get the feeling that's probably not stood the test of time.
A Bit of Fry and Laurie
Our Friends in the North
Star Trek (The original series)
70s comedies that they still show like Steptoe and Son, Rising Damp, Poridge
Father Ted I can watch again and again

Most of the 70's comedy

Oh the Cosby Show was a classic! I must have been pretty young when I was watching though lol. I remember my dad watching Poridge so I've seen a few of those, again probably not suitable for me at the time but I watched anyway! Only Fools & Horses is another that I loved when I lived in my parents house but don;t care much for these days.
I've decided to download Dexter and Law & Order SVU series 9-12 so far. I'm still considering 24 but might wait a few weeks otherwise I'll never be off my laptop!
V v serious cringe admission here: Blind Date with Cilla Black
Ahhh Super that was a lorra lorra laugh. I miss all those Saturday night crappy shows that the whole house gathered round the tv for.
Our Friends in the North
....Oh and 'Boys from the Black stuff'
