Simon Cowell has insisted that Tulisa Contostavlos has nothing to apologise for following a leak of a sex tape featuring the X Factor judge.
Speaking at the launch of Britain's Got Talent, Cowell made a fiercely loyal defence of the N-Dubzpopstar, claiming that she had nothing to be ashamed about.
The X Factor Final Part 1

"Tulisa doesn't have to apologise for anything. The only person who has to apologise is the scumbag who sold the tape," said Cowell.
"It's private, it's intimate and she did nothing wrong. People do these things in the bedroom believe it or not. I feel very sorry for her. He's a scumbag and I feel very, very angry about this."
Cowell claimed that Contostavlos's job on The X Factor is "safe", adding that he wants all four of last year's judges to return if possible.
He also claimed that he didn't want MC Ultra, who Contostavlos has accused of leaking the sex act video footage, "within 100 miles of the X Factor studios".
> Tulisa should have spoken earlier about sex tape, says Max Clifford > Tulisa Contostavlos sex tape man Ultra: 'I will lay out the facts'
Contostavlos released a video blog on Wednesday night (March 21) admitting that it was her in the sex tape, confessing that she was "devastated" and "heartbroken" about the footage being shown on the internet.
"You never imagine for one minute that that the footage may at one point be shared with the rest of the UK or even people around the world, so as you can imagine, it's a pretty tough time for me," she said.

I'd call that nasty name calling.

Although making a tape is a bit sleazy  - but each to their own

Watching someone else's sex tape, released without their consent, is sleazy.

Surely not!

If so then we are all going to hell in a handcart, and that Richard Littlecock one is driving.

Well as I said in my post above; ^^^ I am quite sceptical too: although it seems a bit extreme for her to make a sex vid and then let it be shown in public; it wouldn't surprise me totally, as these talentless Z-lebs like (Chantelle and Alex Reid and Katie Price and so on,) will do just about anything for publicity: it's like a drug to them, and let's face it, apart from a pretty face, what else has Tulisa got to offer?  IMO, she is an average singer at best.

Seems I am not the only one thinking it's just a little TOO convenient that this video was 'leaked.'

I am bemused at all the sympathy for her, like I am bemused by all the sympathy for poor iccle Chantelle, because Alex has allegedly cheated on her.  SOME people need to get a grip on reality and save their sympathies for people who DESERVE sympathy; not these pointless and talentless Z-lebs!  Some of the comments I have seen on a few threads this past couple of days - supporting 'poor Tulisa' and 'poor Chantelle' are laughable.  And so are the judgemental remarks aimed at FMs who DARE to make negative comments about the 'poor little celebs!'

These celebs know EXACTLY what they are doing.  And none of them will get a scrap of sympathy from me.  I save my sympathy and empathy for people and causes that DESERVE it!  And I don't give a shit of Simon Cowell 'supports' Tulisa.  He HAS to; she is part of his show LOL!

Tulisa is still a judge on the X Factor. Why would she need to up her profile at all?

Just as you are 'bemused by all the sympathy' for her and Chantelle, I am bemused by those who believe the lying media, and take so much interest in zelebs who they don't believe deserve to be in the public eye.

They are human beings, just like the rest of us.

Just putting my views like everyone else Blizz.  Everyone is allowed to do that on here as long as FMs are not personally got at...  , but this past few days, FMs are getting negative comments aimed at them for the things they are saying about celebs, it's unacceptable IMO.  And there are several FMs doing it.  (And it's the ones defending the celebs who are having a sly dig at other FMs.

In showbusiness there are two sayings often repeated, there is no such thing as negative publicity and timing is everything.

Just days after an explicit sex tape was leaked online and 24 hours after Tulisa took a vicious swipe at her ex MC Ultra for betraying her over their 'intimate moment', the singer has released her debut single Young.

Along with the catchy lyrics, including 'forgive me for what I have done', the song comes with a rather suggestive video, showing the singer licking up ice cream with her tongue.

Perhaps unsurprisingly her fans have taken to Twitter, accusing the 23-year-old of orchestrating an elaborate stunt to grab their attention.

Tulisa played her debut single for the first time this morning on BBC Radio 1 and followed it up with the release of yet another video, this will be the third this week.

The single, We Are Young, has been getting mixed reviews, and some fans have spoken out about the timing of her Youtube video.

The song features some hard partying antics from Tulisa and opens with the line: 'Forgive me for what I have done, cos I'm young, yeah I'm young.

'I don't mean to frighten you off, it's just fun, it's just fun.'

YOUNG by Tulisa

Forgive me for what I have done cos I'm young, yeah I'm young.

I don't mean to frighten you off, it's just fun, its just fun.

I'll make mistake that I learn from cos I'm young,  yeah I'm young.

I'm sorry I'm not even done, cos I'm young, yeah I'm young.

Don't worry bout what I'll become, it's just fun, it's just fun.

Earlier this week, the former N-Dubz star 'set the record straight on a certain tape that has been circulating online', but now fans have taken to Twitter to express their suspicions.

After We Are Young was played this morning by Chris Moyles, one fan wrote: 'Is it just coincidence that the Tulisa video ''scandal'' is the same week she is publicising her debut single?'

Another person said: 'Waitttt, tulisa's clip gets leaked 2 days before she releases her first single #publicitystunt'.

While Tulisa remained tight lipped regarding the tape today, following her solo debut, more and more users on the social network site vented their opinion.

'So mon Tulisa's 'tape' comes out. Wednes Tulisa's forgive me 'tape' comes out. Friday Tulisa's 'forgive me4I am young' single out #ismellarat', said one sceptic.

We Are Young is an electro pop song produced by Tulisa's ex-boyfriend and band mate Richard 'Fazer' Rawson.

It has been compared in sound to the Rihanna and Calvin Harris hit We Found Love, and the video, which was shot in Miami, last month, shows several sides to the singer.

With one shot viewers see a lady-like Tulisa in a orange bodycon dress looking glamorous and attractive, but then they are also shown an edgy style as the female MC and singer shows off her tattoo in a corset.

The single is all about being young and making mistakes that you can learn from, and features some poignant lyrics.

The north London-born star sings: 'I'll make mistake that I learn from cos I'm young. yeah I'm young.

'I'm sorry I'm not even done, cos I'm young yeah I'm young.

'Don't worry bout what I'll become, it's just fun, it's just fun.'

Surely some of them can be shot at?

She was still stabbed in the back though.

I think she did the decent thing by owning up. That must have took some guts to do. We've all done things in our past which we are not proud of .... she's no different .... It's no big deal in my opinion. I still like her

"Tulisa doesn't have to apologise for anything. The only person who has to apologise is the scumbag who sold the tape," said Cowell.

Well said Si .... I completely agree

I didn't defend the celeb Dennis Waterman, I defended the celebs Tulissa and Rula. I didn't defend Tulissa's celeb boyfriend, the name of whom escapes me.

I'm interested as to how this somehow constitutes sly digs at other FMs who may have a different opinion.

And defended.

My point was that zelebs/celebs are just like us and I won't feel guilty for defending them, if I want to.

The reason the hacking by the press was ignored for so long was because most people didn't care, as long as they thought that it was only celebrities that were the victims.

Just change the word 'negative' to 'sympathetic'
