I've just looked at odds checker and it shows Mario at 12/1
John James is odds ON. to go at 4/5
Oddschecker also shows Mario at 3/1 favourite to be "top man".
Could you have checked the wrong odds by mistake? ; I've just looked 4 times and Mario is still 12/1 to go on Friday.  

Does Mario have any fans?  I don't mind him and certainly don't dislike him but wouldn't call myself a fan.

Oddschecker is only showing "next eviction", as in, who will be FIRST out on Friday.  Only betfair are betting on the "four to be evicted".

But it is not a bookmaker is it. It is an exchange where gamblers can lay odds for other gamblers.
Wikipedia compares it to the stock exchange.

When I look on odds checker I always look at "Other Outright Betting Markets - next eviction".

It's hard to enough to select 1
But even harder to predict 4 names.
I remain happy with Mario's odds.

But even more troubling times for Crab, Sam, Steve and Dave whose odds are even shorter.
