Oh I feel for you Soozy.2 years ago we done a rewire of the whole house, replaced all internal doors and frames,a new kitchen , as a result of the rewiring almost every room had to be re plastered and decorated. It started in May,didn't get it all finished until September, midway through I decided to deck 3/4 of the back garden, all in all a nightmare.great when it's all finished and looking fab but whilst it's ongoing a nightmare.
You must be a saint - if this isn't finished by next weekend (preferably before) I'm leaving home (and taking my lappy with me).
Soozy it was terrible, really terrible.Didn't help matters that the plasterer fell and broke his wrist so was out of action for 6 weeks.I would have felt bad if I'd got another plasterer so we'd to rearrange how we'd scheduled the work around the plastering. There were days the joiners were out the back sawing etc ,dust raining down like snow, the sparks in the front garden doing prep, one day I was trapped in the living room with Eamon and the dog, power tools startled Eamon and he started crying ,the doors were all blocked and I was seconds away from climbing out the living room window with him .When you get to the choosing tiles stage you're on the home run, once the *Dirty* work is over it's not too bad,and it's such a relief.I am sure you'll be delighted with the end finish ,it's lovely when it's all new .
