Carnelian...I know you get a bit about those who sing the virtues of apple stuff...And I'm no IT expert by a v v long way, but I'm yet to meet anyone who does apple who then says, "Ah this is carp, next time I'm going to get an *insert whatever* "
it's just 'stuff' but overpriced stuff that locks consumers into a closed shop. Years ago Microsoft were ordered not to bundle their media player into Windows, yet (and I'm not defending Microsoft here) Apple are absolutely psychotic about closing down customer options so they can fleece consumers.
Why anyone would buy media content from iTunes is beyond me when iTunes is so expensive.
people buy into it for some reason. it's not crap - I have several Apple devices actually, it's just a bit of style over substance and in general, over priced - although iTunes on a PC is crap. I can't think of any application that can't be closed down with Windows Task Manager except for iTunes. That suggests to me deliberate coding on the part of Apple to piddle off Windows users.
