He played Mr Lucas in Are You Being Served.

He can't have been very old, Are You Being Served was a great show.
He was 76 Squiggle,he died of a heart attack at his allotment.Rip.I think John Inman is the only one left now.
Oops no,John Inman died in 2007 aged 71.

Frank Thornton (Captain Peacock) is alive and was 90 years old in January.

On our way to the London Palladium many years ago we got lost and were running late, we stopped to ask a guy the way and it was Frank Thornton. He was very sweet and told us the way but we didn't have time to do the recognition thing just went on our way saying to each other 'that was Captain Peacock'
