Morning.LL.pussy,Trix. I'm "baby" sitting a cute little kitten,he's 8 weeks old, gorgeuous fluffy tabby and white cat.

The woman that bought him has two young sons and they were treating it a bit harshly, they are both 2 and 3 too young really for a pet.
My niece voluteered to care for it until it gets its jabs next week.We can't keep it,I have a free flying budgie, two rabbits and a hamster. They are all in seperate rooms at the moment.

My niece's friend will take it she has three cats already.

Morning Katty Big Grin

Awww bless it. I have 3 cats and I so want chinchillas or a lizard, but they need to be kept indoors and I would be frantic in case the cats got them Frowner

Not worth the risk LL, a few seconds carlessness and the cat would have them.
My bunnies know summat is up,they can smell the cat and their ears are up on alert when we let them back into the living room once the kitten is shut in another room. It's too small to harm them, but they are a prey animal and would still be spooked by a mad furball dashing round the room.
It's "hunting"us instead,leaps on your feet and "attacks",sweet.

awh katty sounds cute, we have a bunny and I have to take him home in the holidays, at home there is a cocker spaniel who now thinks that shes a bunny Laugh. The bunny loves her though, he chases her tail and jumps on her back, and to think I was worried he'd be scared.

Has the bunny been "done". Ninja

Yeah, I would never risk it. If I had a big place perhaps then I would - be easier to keep the cats away then.

Depends on the aninals,if they are brought up together they get used to each other.

The woman who was looking after it after her friend gave up the kitten has a labrador, thought it would be ok but the dog nearly went berserk trying to get at the kitten. It even broke a muzzle !

Ours have been brought up separate, the bunny here with me in Nottingham, and the dog is 9 but I think she's ok with the bunny because she has always had another animal around (we had a lab before we got her and she didn't know life without him until he died in december-she was heartbroken and it was only a week later that I arrived home with the rabbit). The bunny is just a bit insane anyway.

When we got our lab we had a cat and the cat made its feelings towards the puppy very clear by ripping his ear open Frowner
