At that age they know right from wrong...they steal and they know they shouldn't...stealing is an offence, they are criminals, or Young Offenders if you prefer

I hope not - I know there's been damage in Colmore Row which isn't too far away from BCH but I guess if they're intent on causing damage it won't matter to them that there's a hospital in the vicinity with very sick children

A mother of a very sick child in the BCH has tweeted that this is happening.

The world has gone mad.

Reports in that they have smashed the windows of the BCH.

By the sound of it they've moved off towards the Jewellery Quarter - don't think it takes much imagination to guess what they are after there

No, this is too big for the police. It needs the army I think

If the police had used water cannon and tear gas we may have a different situation Pam....charging ten yards and watching them scatter and backing off is not working.

This is what needs to happen now, I agree. Put a curfew in place, and if anyone's out they get the full force of the army and police. Harsh but it needs to happen to stop this insanity.

Yep - but even though our army is deployed in various trouble spots over the world ( more so than ever) - the Government are planning to reduce our armed forces. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY ................have the government no sense at all?

It sickens me Erin - it's bad enough to attack a hospital but one where there are sick, frightened kiddies is beyond reprehension - they've taken this to a whole new level - disgusting behaviour - I hope their parents are very proud of them

Our local Radiostation BRMB have confirmed it has been attacked - they were allegedly aiming for the Steelhouse Lane Police station which is across the road but decided to attack the hospital as well

Whats this? What have I missed?

Old Bill and Govt saying that they will charge anyone who has been stirring up the rioting on social networking sites with incitement.

Violent disorder is section 1, you can get 10 years for that IIRC. I've had mates nicked for that before for demos etc.

Blackberry have said that they will co-operate fully with the Met to pass over any info from their users

Of course it will have a lot to do with it ............................RENT A MOB ..............social networking had a big part to play in the events in Egypt, Syria etc. - it depends how you look at it and on which side of the fence you stand - it can be used for good - or .................................. mindless, thieving, robbing, yobs can use it - and claim that they are disenfranchised!
