Seems like the smoke is from the aforementioned bus which appears to have set the adjoining building on fire.

Skirmishes reported fron West Croydon!

O000h I wondered how long it would take before   West Croydon would get involved!

The thing is .............if they have barricaded themselves onto an estate ...........why not just leave them there?

No suggestion of that that I've heard so far.

Me either and personally I think it's a awful state of affairs, it's taken two days for a senior member of the cabinet to comment

TBH - I really don't think the Police have been extreme enough .............I know it's not good to inflame the situation but if someone is hacking away at a jewellers window the police should simply go in and arrest him. It really isn't about dissatisfaction etc etc. - it's the criminal minority making what they can.

Awful
I really feel for the people who have lost their homes and possessions

Exactly Sky. It's bad enough that people have lost homes and businesses, but I suppose we should be thankfull that there's no loss of life (yet)

IMO, the only extreme behaviour has been from the criminal thugs who have been looting, setting fires and attacking the police.

I don't think so TBH .............................a bunch of scumbags who want to make an easy buck - (the benefits they fiddle aren't enough) - this has nothing whatsoever to do with idealistic principles...............it's scumbags out to get something for nothing. IMO.

Try logging off and rebooting. I think there's been tinkering today

Well my husband has come home from work In Lewisham where he is a black taxi driver. These poor little disaffected darlings dragged a woman out of her car, beat her up and robbed her before they set her car alight!  Poor disaffected darlings.....if they think they have it so hard they should be rounded up and shipped off to Calcutta or somewhere of that ilk!  Or better still, shot!

My husband picked up a woman that was on a bus that was attacked and she was terrified. He picked her near the police lines at the Police station and hot footed (wheeled) it out cos he was looking like a target...he'd been spotted by a gang who were all pointing at him...

They aren't very nice either, are they? Don't they have a conscience or any decency? Haven't seen any of them come forward to show any remorse....

There are probably innocent people living there who want no part in all this. By the looks of things the rioters aren't being fussy about what they destroy so those innocent people shouldn't be left to fend for themselves
