Yes, the table leg was wrapped up. I'm sure he didn't think he was concealing it, though!

I deleted my post - it was funny in my own head   You've quoted me though  Hi Blizzums

PS I don't think the guy was intentionally concealing the table leg in a way to rouse suspicion, you're right.

Scousers wouldn't of even thought of that.

One of the photos showed a balaclava'd looter with a shopping trolley.

I hope he put a quid in!

There are photos doing the rounds on Arsenal forums of the Spurs ticket office all smashed up - don't know if it is genuine.

It's long overdue that the police bring out the water cannons and the rubber bullets and stamp on these thugs once and for all.

They are not angry about the justified death of a gun shooting nutter by the police, they just want to loot and hurt people for no reason and are using this as an excuse, I bet if you ask any of the young rioters the name of the man who was shot they wouldn't have a clue what his name was.

All the little Ali G wannabe's are out in force tonight in Enfield.

Oh, and I forgot about the Scottish bloke, holding his mended table leg, who was mistaken for an Irishman holding a gun, so he was shot!

So not a bad tally compared to what the scum have killed with their guns....

I've no problem with gun toting scum being shot by the police, if they are actually shooting back.

Like the barrister in Chelsea, who shot through a neighbours window. http://www.channel4.com/news/b...police-inquest-finds

I do have a problem with trigger happy police and it will be interesting to see if the report from erinp's link turns out to be true.

justified death of a gun shooting nutter by the police,

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i think there is a vast area of  doubt about  that description of him vids, it seems the bullet that was lodged in the  policeman's radio was , in fact one fired from a police gun.....

so that rather throws the police story into  some doubt...

Indeed.

I've heard that the gun was in a sock, when it was found, and that he'd started carrying a gun after his cousin was shot dead in March.

Not justifying carrying a gun, at all, but, by all accounts, he wasn't a violent nutter and could have been arrested without any shots being fired.

Sorry Blizz but noone but the police and army should carry a gun..knife crime is bad enough in England without guns..

That's coz it's Enfield EFFT. They're posher.

Bit like the statement from Rolls Royce "our motor cars do not break down, they simply fail to proceed"

Plus the rioters are all waiting for the night buses to get there!

Shooting from inside a sock or a carrier bag stops transfer residue....

My Dad worked in Tottenham 20 years ago under Scottish Power... once got threatened with a guy with a Samurai sword in broad daylight because there was work going on nearby. He was supervising and the guy went beserk, went back into his house and when police came round... they just warned him and that was it

Sorry if its slightly O/T, just as its Tottenham thought I would add to it.

This is what saddens me............

Can you imagine losing everything and some won't have had the money for insurance but even so insurance does'nt replace old photo's and precious keepsakes of family who have passed....

I was more thinking about children living their childhood, and looking on at the joy us adults are bringing to them...........

I know fluff, but, the influence of violence and lack of control around them, must take its toll, children are not stupid..they have ears...these children are not just watching a house fire, they are having to take on their shoulders what has gone on.....

Someones just posted on another forum

Danny Dyers there in the thick of it - well I say he's there but he's actually 5 miles down the road but still giving it large!

I'm old enough to remember the riots of the late 70's/early 80's in London. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Same police abusing their powers, same so called community leaders using the trouble to push their own agenda, same bandwagon jumping kids looking to thieve under the banner of disenfranchised yoof.

Pretty much sums it up!
