1910 A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Bournemouth on suspicion of incitement to riot, Dorset Police said.

To be honest I don't care if they have or not. I care whether my house gets burnt to the ground or my car gets torched. Thugs running round the streets terrorising people?......my last thought is about their upbringing. To answer your question though....I was commenting on Ollys post.

Agree AKT...but my point was, what the heck has this got to do with smacking

From my own experience....after you have told a little one not to do something dangerous for at least 6 times....a sharp tap on the hand the next time she tries it gets the lesson learned more than endless words....maybe, just maybe some of those morons might have benefitted from some tough love when it was needed

I'm not going to get into a smacking debate AKT, (and I'm not sure if there's a difference between a 'sharp tap' and a 'skelping') as I really do think it detracts from the real issue here, which, I'm sure is complex and multi-faceted....and, we have absolutely no idea what parenting experiences these people responsible for such abhorrent behaviour have had

Well, she absolutely refuted, last time around, in the 80s, that any of of it could have anything to do with socio-economic conditions under her rule

thing is, if the police beat the crap out of them its police brutality, personally i reckon they should be round up & dropped in the middle of the sea....

Vigilante groups ,not a good idea.I do understand their anger and frustration but not the way to go.

The police just need to put a curfew in place.10pm and if you are on the street you will be lifted.

The parents were probably the same, as far as I am concerned this is the second generation of dont give a sh*,t poor us mentality.  They dont want to work, they want everything from the state. Now if they dont get it ,they take it.
