How are things going?

Doing ok thanks. Funeral is on Monday. I can't make it back to N.I. but helped my Bruv to pick the flowers hymns and readings.

Shame you can't make it.  What flowers did you go for? My friend works in wills and estates, and I was surprised to hear how many colours lilies come in.

Owen found these wreaths, aren't they nice? I picked the hymns [Abide With Me and The Lord Is My Shepherd] and emailed Owen a selection of readings from which he picked two.

He brought our Da home yesterday to rest at the house and we held a private Wake together by phone. He poured Dad a whisky and ginger ale, played his favourite music and put on some John Wayne movies - his favourite.

They are lovely. Good hymn selection too.

The phone wake sounds nice. Pity no one can stream the service for you.

Not much planned, by resting and painting my nails... which I'm not allowed to do during term time. My friend's husband is finally coming over from Tunisia, I've to bake a cake for that and there will be a party.

Well... this cake will be a betty crocker mix (CHEATING!!!). Red velvet, I wouldn't be able to get the chocolate sponge from brown to red myself, with the cream cheese icing, which is to die for, and I don't know how to make. Red and white for Tunisia. Also got a chocolate icing piping tube to write "Marhaba Moez!" (Welcome Moez!) on it.

Nails are dark purple presently, I think the next shade will be the matt grey.

Not as such... I've always liked darker colours, rockier music, fantasy/sci fi films. Most people just call me a weirdo.

Wimbledon has been better this year with fewer big names surviving + an array of different players getting through to the latter stages.

Watching it on tv now while listening to R5L - Goran commentating. I'm slightly in love with him.
