Yeah, if you've got it flaunt it. lol
James McAvoy is this weeks SIARPC !
That'll be interesting... With Amy McDonald recently it's been a bit Scottish this season.
Indeed. He doesn't look like a fast driver but you never know...
Yeah, I don't think he'll be great around the track. We'll, see... we may be doing him a massive disservice.
I don't know why but I want him to be really duff at driving
There has to be one ever year... and it would counteract Wanted nicely. lol
I'm guessing Wanted wasn't very good?
Well done Scotland in the rugby
Hardly watched it... he played a natural born assassin with skills like driving well.
As for the rugby, I no longer have hands... I chewed my nails down to the wrists... It was a bit tense.
Heard it was tense.
Loved TG last night and James McEvoy was good too.
He did do well. I am surprised... his mentioning the Bill was fun... That's when we all found out he was acting.
Did you see the Oscars? Poor Jennifer Lawrence tripped getting her award.
Didn't see it live. Poor girl she must have been morto. Did you watch it live?
She's a brilliant actress so delighted she won though.
What are your thoughts on Cardinal O'Brien resigning?
I did. So I'm operating on negligible sleep here.
She took it in good grace, plus she had Hugh Jackman help her up, it's all good.
He should resign, if it's true then he's hypocrite... if it isn't he's still homophobic.
You must be shattered eeek.
Yeah... apparently he was voted bigot of the year.
I'm not... I'm hyper!
He did... Sometimes being catholic is embarrassing... we aren't all bad... honest.
I know... I'm one too [sort of] though I'd consider myself Christian more than Catholic.
Ah well to cheerier things. *nods*
I got high-fived by a kid today... I was trying to signal her to back away from the hot plate at the time... which is why I fail at discipline.
Awwww thats quite cute
I was... but she's up and down like a yoyo that one... I think we may have to put glue on the seats.
lol you might.
Sounds like you see quite a bit of the kids, is it at mealtimes?
Breakfast club, 2 of us in soul "control" of about 50 kids for 45 minutes... fun times. lol Got about an hour of 200-ish of them at lunch too, but they are rushed through, whereas breakfast they have to stay in.
It has it's moments... like Shane's magic trick...
Eeeeek! My flat flooded last night - the connecting nut of the water pipe under the sink got loose and sprayed water in a big jet. Bad it was. The man downstairs knocked saying it was pouring into his flat. Couldn't turn the water supply off as the valve was stiff - took a while! Put towels, sponges, even duvets and clothes down to mop up the water. Can fix the leak myself but the escape of water won't be covered by buildings insurance so I'll have to pay the poor man for the damage.
... Its only a tiny flat like mine, so he can't have much damage can he? *gulp*
Oh my gods! Nightmare...
Hopefully it wont be too bad. *fingers crossed* Have you had a look yet?
Thanks for the hug
It was flipping scary - at first I thought it was a burst pipe. I was soaked to the skin trying to catch it in a bucket.
Haven't looked but put a note under his door with my contact details and that I'd pay for the damage etc. Luckily I have a dehumidifier - bought only recently - which sucks water out of the air and should dry the floor out.
Well, that's handy... hopefully it worked?
Hope it wont cost too much.
The dehumidifier works great - sucks in maybe 2-3 litres of water a day?
All my stuff is lying out to dry.
Haven't heard from him yet. However my flat in Dublin had a roof leak - all they did was lend me a dehumidifier and replace my hall carpet. So hopefully he won't overestimate the cost.
How are you?
Oh b.t.w. bought the dehumidifier to dry washing - less space than a tumble dryer + cheaper to run.
Oh that's sounds good. We have a large built in wardrobe in the back room, the hot water tank is in there, great for drying clothes.
Fingers crossed, you have precedent on your side.
I'm ok, life has been uneventful... I hope it stays that way.
Indeed its lucky I have experienced the same thing.
Glad you're ok - no news is good news.
How are you getting on with your kindle reading?
Only really getting a chance to read in my work break, currently reading H P Lovecraft which is a big book. I'm at 47%... got "the brick" (aka Les Mis) to read after. lol
Are you enjoying the Lovecraft? Whats he like?
I am... you can tell he's been influenced by Poe. I prefer when he writes about the Dreamlands and gibbering things from beyond. Call of Cthulhu was everything I hoped it would be, Pickman's Model made me scared of the dark for a while until he tied a bunch of older stories together in one larger story, in which I grew to like Pickman's models inspite of what they were.
Any word on downstairs yet?
No not yet. I left a note to forward me the bill so it'll probably take a while to assess the costs.
Lovecraft sounds delightfully weird.
Oh alright...
Yes, weird, lovely, all good.
Weird is good Found his wikipedia page fascinating. He inspired lots of people, like Guillermo Del Toro.
Pan's Labyrinth, there's a movie.
Indeed - and quite scary too. The creature with hands for eyes eeeeeek
I can't remember what he's called... but he can just be called "high-octane nightmare fuel"... it fits... *shudders*
Great description *nods*
Can't believe theres a town called Jezza Oh and I liked RH's car/home best.
Jezza was brilliant! The other Jezza was all excited. And bad puns abound!
RH did go for all mod cons... pity about the leopard print. *eek*
I found out what the dude from Pan's Labyrinth was called the "Pale Man". Not quite as creepy.
