I was thinking of getting a box set of Bette Davis films. They don't seem to show them on tv anymore and the ones I want aren't on Netflix, Lovefilm or Blinkbox.

She was great   and didn't take any carp on or off screen 

Bette Davis is pretty amaze.

I tend to find the things I want are never anywhere. All hail DVD.

I got an Amazon delivery today. What a palaver! Asked Amazon [by email and by phone] to instruct the 2 couriers to telephone me because of broken intercom. Message didn't get through ... Luckily by chance workmen left the front door open so the Citilink delivery man got in. Second courier [DPD] hadn't got the message either so I rang the local depot to give them my number.

Got all my stuff though... phew.

Yay!

Tomorrow is my big delivery day. three different deliveries. Have banned people from leaving the house empty at any stage.

I didn't get the Bette Davis DVD set in the end, just stuff I needed for the flat.

I DID get a baseball bat though, no kidding. I noticed from the Amazon buyer reviews, most were buying them for home security not sport.

It was a tenner which isn't much for peace of mind.

I will put it in my bag when I go down to the hall for my post.

Well done on redding up your room. Funny I've been having a spring clean too - going through old boxes, delinting and debobbling all my clothes, clearing out cupboards, washing my rugs, even painting!

It is lovely. It's Kindle Fire (non-HD). Battery life is low compared to a normal Kindle, but it is shiny and can play my audio books.

Sounds lovely. Its great when you're in lurve with a new gadget.

Vanilla is my favourite additive for sweet things.

For savoury, its smoked paprika. Makes everything taste like smokey bacon. 

Vanilla is the greatest. *nods* still got half a bottle of extract.

Not sure on spices for savoury... I eat the basil straight out the jar though peppery herbs... mmm.

Yeh... I only started spicing my food cos the Atkins diet is so boring

I like my carbs.. don't think I could.. lol

Carbs are lovely, I am gradually reintroducing them. 

I made chocolate cup cakes yesterday... I was bullied into it. Was lovely.

I am currently watching mountain gorillas on Attenborough, BBC2. Aren't they the furriest things ever?

Gorillas are quite cute. I don't like chimps though. I done the QI/HIGNFY combo tonight... now on to Joan Rivers stopping Jezza getting a word in edgeways. James had a nice coffee right.

That baroness on HIGNFY was a hoot.

She was mental. QI was alright, I can't really remember much about it. We had no Attenborough on, Iplayer should let you watch BBC Scotland, try that.  We have to go to BBC Alba for the rugby most of the time. THrough this I learnt the gaelic for Scotstoun... it's Scotstoun.  (Warriors play here, I have a local team now... have tickets for Friday.)

Absolutely mental  reminded me of when Michael Gambon was on.

Is there a big crowd for the warriors? I know nada about rugby.

Heinekin cup matches are full, league matches not so much.

All you really have to know about rugby is that it's 9 whole, entire, horrible weeks until the 6 nations.
