I just thought Chris was going off on a weird tangent - a common occurence for him.
I love how The Daily Mail describe him as "rebel bbc presenter"

They clearly don't approve, which makes it even better.
Weird tangents can be fun. Chris is good at them. *nods*
I don't like F1, but Kimi just won won a grand prix... any post race interviews are going to be epic, because... well, Kimi. Just a heads up.
Ok... googled Kimi...first thing came up was his quotes. Seems a bit of a character
I just saw a repeat of Natures Miracle Babies - the one with the baby tassies and that bloodcurdling sound they make lol I love it
He is mental. When that team (lotus) are on the news I'm always "be Kimi. Be Kimi... Not Kimi I'm going to just zone out."
I loved Natures miracle babies, a bit sad about the first 4 babies to reach a teet survive the rest die thing though.

I know You'd think several Springwatches/Autumnwatches would have toughened me up by now, but no
You would think, yeah... *sighes*
Also, "thing though" is a bit randomly placed. No idea why that is there.
It makes sense to me, mind you...
Tonight is the night of headphones up loud and windows shut tight.
Everything will smell of burning.
Yeah I know though there seem to have been less fireworks in the run up to Bonfire night this year. Must be the recession.
That is true. Got a free Discworld audiobook on my phone, I'll stick that on.
Good stuff that should block it out.
Hamster is doing an interesting sounding show tonight - hopefully it won't be too dumbed down like his last nature show.
Not too interested in Hamster. There was a TG special on, but was just him so I didn't watch it.
Yep me too. I was all excited thinking it would be the three of them doing the Bond special... then nah.
Hope your back is a bit better.
Back is better thank you. Although, have just had a phonecall from the area manager to go back until the end of this week. duhduhDUH!
Oh no is that good or bad?
The landlord of Mrs Madwoman nextdoor is currently removing all her stuff. It looks like thats it - she ain't coming back. I'm so relieved. When I first heard banging this morning I thought she was back.
*does Hitch's patented happy dance*
Sorry, it's been a few days... Overtime + taxi lady = too meh to dig out the laptop and this place wont scroll on my phone.
I will join you in celebrations! *happy dances too*
It is good when I gets monies. Right now I'm hating primary 5/6's sink, for some reason this one makes my back seize up, just that one. weird.
No probs Hitch.
Sorry your back is still sore if you'd been able to rest, it would be better by now
Nice to be back.
How have you been keeping?
Keeping ok thanks.
I was put on some stuff called phenergan [an antihitsamine which causes drowsiness ] to help me sleep. Makes me kind of meh and tired next day, so I haven't been on the exercise bike I need to snap put of it!
Also need to start Christmas shopping, I'm late this year.
Got my xmas shopping done. *proud* I couldn't face the crowds. Early November had a hard time getting a parking space in Clydebank.
Lethargy bad. Prone to lethargy.
Well done on the Christmas shopping, most impressive.
Lethargy is bad. Do you know if anything causes yours? Blood tests showed I had thyroid problems. Though I suspect it was caused by the medication which also caused weight gain. Strange to develop thyroid problems so late in life
Could just be laziness on my part...
lol
Did you see Chris Packham's iceberg programme? He wasn't in it that much. Didn't like the blockbuster music and the attempts to show scientists in danger etc
The quiet nature bits with him were the best.
I didn't watch it, as I am sceptical about melting icecaps not being a natural part of the planet's cyclical nature (we are due an iceage, the poles tend to be ice free then). Also, the way they play down the adaptability of polar bears is annoying.
But, I know I'm on the "nutty" side of that argument, so I'll wheest now.
Chris bits were always going to be the best bits.
Ya missed nothing, except for Chris surreptitiously feeding an arctic fox who visited the camp.
Not a believer in global warming? I know we've been through various climate changes, but still... Hmmm.
I believe in global warming/climate change... just not that it's all our fault.
Artic foxes are cute.
Ok... I don't know much about it in depth. Just what I see on tv
Just started my Christmas shopping online. A combination of M+S and Asda should do it. I don't want to use Amazon as I have gift vouchers and it'll look like I used them to buy the same people pressies back!
Well done making a start.
I have vouchers too, want an kindle touch, but no one sells them that takes my vouchers... I may have to bite the bullet and get the kindle fire, but the battery life drops from 8 weeks to 9 hours.
Wow thats a big difference Where are your vouchers for? Maybe we can do a swap I don't want my Amazon vouchers The intercom is broken to several flats here which makes deliveries from them difficult a.t.m.
I downloaded the kindle app thingy onto my little netbook. Only bought two books so far by Hilary Mantel - both won the Booker prize.
*Feels all intellectual*
"Suddenly a wild internet appears. Hitch uses capture. It's super effective!"
It's such a difference because the Fire is more a all round tablet than an ereader. Which is why I wanted the touch, built-in support for the .aa audiobooks.
Have Kindle and Audiable on my phone, but I'm due an upgrade next month... Going to be a faf.
This year Amazon suddenly got shirty about there being no flat number on my address. I didn't mind changing that, but they time they said they tried to deliver I was at the bottom of the close waiting for someone.
What a pain. Amazon mostly use Yodel couriers [formerly HDNL] who aren't that great.
I have to ask couriers to telephone me when they arrive as the intercom is still out of order in this building. Depends on whether the message gets through to the driver or not
Delivery guys are the worst. Best of luck with it.
On a bad note I got another letter [the sixth] from Mrs Madwoman which I'll pass onto police. They've suggested they charge her with harassment... I would have said ok to it before but I was scared of angering her further.
Oh heck. Any other options?
Dunno Hitch. My community nurse is calling today and I'll talk about it with her. Also I'll call the local community police officer PC Iain [ a Scot] who has always been great help, to see what other options there are.
The police are looking for her and they'll arrest her for sectioning if they can find her.
This could only happen to me. How much trouble can you possibly get into when you're agoraphobic!!!
Hopefully they'll find her soon.
*props up a box with a stick, places some bait under box, ties string to stick and hides behind a bush with the other end... waits*
If only that worked in real life.
lol thanks if only.
She still has the keys to this building's front door, which is a bit of a worry. Ahh I'l be allright. I carry a spray bottle filled with vinegar when I go down to check my post. [ it works like tear gas if sprayed in the face] I'm going to buy a personal attack alarm too.
Even pondering getting a baseball bat I am from Belfast you know.
Here's hoping it doesn't come to that. *nods*
Aww thanks Hitch
Hope you're ok and your back is getting better?
