I saw! do we know who is up for friday yet?
They're all up Hitch except Gareth. It'll be a double eviction... I hope Denise and Kirk leave.
ah ok.... i can't remember who gareth is though?
The big Welsh rugby player
bald guy? all these famous people! so confusing! *ahem*
Yes thats the one. His nickname is Alfie as he resembles the puppet.
there's a puppet called alfie?
i... know... nothing... :'(
Well, the puppet is called Alf... not heard of him?
oh Alf! Alf I know... The Alfie threw me off there.
There is a distinct resemblance, its the nose and the eyes I think?
there is indeed... now that it's been pointed out.
Michael is going crrrrrazy lol.
Oh b.t.w. I saw Warhorse *online coff* brilliant film Quite proud of myself that I only cried once.
oh dear... hopefully everyone's ears are still attached?
I don't really fancy that one. war movies tend to bore me. :S except maybe the great escape, mainly because ilyria kuriyakin is in it.
I don't like War Movies either... Theres something about the first world war though. .
Aww Badgers have just been on Countryfile... starting about 13 mins in. Lots of shots of them snuggled up in their sets... and baby badgers... sweeeeet!
Badgers!
history did for me... they lure you in with vikings and stone age people... then stick you with 4 years of ww1 and ww2.
i wanted vikings and romans...
Ah I see, when you put it like that.
History was my favourite subject at school. I think a lot depends on the teacher, if they can bring it to life. I was lucky I had a couple of great ones - who gave me a lifelong love of the subject.
I think it was the syllabus. Everything was from a scottish view point. (except the arch duke Ferdinand, they couldn't put a scottish tint on that )
I'm getting back into the way of it with Horrible Histories. that's fun. (even if they can't decide which george died on the loo... pretty sure is was 2, not 1 though.)
I get all the Georges mixed up
Happy Burns Night Hitch will you be having anything special to celebrate it?
george 1 - german
george 2 - angry
george 3 - batty
george 4 - fat
that is how i keep them in check. *nods*
this helps too (apart from the whole wrong george dying on the loo thing) http://youtu.be/zPtYmq5qFVA
Thank you. they sent some haggis into us at work today... was lovely, but i substituted carrots for the neeps, as neeps are minging. *nods*
Turnips are lovely! Though the ones I got from Asda are strange ... white not orange...
white turnip! what devilry is this? a swede perchance?
white turnip! what devilry is this? a swede perchance?
Arrghh Tesco only sell Swedes... little tiny things ... I was overjoyed when Asda started selling "turnips" but theyre very anaemic looking
Happy Burns night Hitch!!
food... shouldn't even be thinking of food at this time. *drools at thoughts of food*
Love the new avatar Hitch... still trying to figure out what it is A horned cat?
it's an altachuck. it's the Altadorian equivelent of a polarchuck (which is the neopets version of a polarbear).
It's basically a cute, wee grecian polarbear.
This Petpet is quite scared of loud noises, sudden movements, and anything that starts with the letter D. It needs a kind and loving Neopet to take care of it, but it will be quite loyal to its owner for ever and ever.
This is on neopets if you were wondering.
I like it its bit fidgety though, may take a while to get used to it
it is a bit.
*places a plate of faerycakes on the table to lure in rosie*
Sorry sorry sorry! I had pc probs, couldn't get my laptop powered up at all. Feared that I'd blown the electrics, but luckily it turned out to be the adaptor. Managed to get another one. Phew!
*Gladly tucks into faery cakes, thank you*
welcome back!
at least it was something simple like the adapter. the horror though, don't think i could manage with no net. lol
Thanks, I thought it was a gonner and was SO relieved it was the adaptor.
I'm terrible for just putting the lappy in sleep mode rather than switching it off when I'm not using it. So I feared I'd overheated the electronics inside it
Did you see Italian Stig on TG ROFL
oh yes, aka "bunga bunga Stig".
I turn most things off fully... never understood why people left their tvs on standby, even before it became unecological. I am scared of fire though... that said the one thing i really can't turn off is my fridge... and it's a beko (not the spontanious combustion model.. but all the same). *worry*
Oh no!! I have a Beko fridge too - are they dodgy? It was here when I moved in 10 years ago, its a bit of an old timer.
Chris Packham is on tonight's Room 101. I imagine he'll have lots of things to complain about
certain models can go up in smoke... check the model number, should be online somewhere. that said, i think it was some of the newer ones, you should be fine.
Yes, he did indeed. i think he should've got it for Chris Moyles.
Phew about the fridge
That was a good show I laughed so much Chris more than held his own. AGREE about Chris Moyles
he did indeed. Alice was good too.
one thing though... how the hell did that jedward break his leg? it just seemed to randomly snap...
I don't think it was a bad break was it? Could've been a green stick fracture which young people often get - the bone just bends very slightly but doesn't break. I broke my arm at 19 and didn't know until the nurse pointed out my forearm looked a bit crooked.
oh never heard of that. the horrors of the body!
so, 6 nations started today... so far, all matches have gone badly.
My commiserations Hitch How did Scotland play?
RTE radio just said Ireland are 2/1 favourites to win today. Whaaaa? I remember Wales thoroughly schooling us at the World Cup. I think we'll be stuffed today unfortunately.
we played ok... we just bottle it when it comes to finishing.
It was a tight played game for Ireland... but losing that penalty last minute, right infront of the goal? stupid! (we had a similar thing. kick off after half time, Parks botches his kick, England score a try... 20 seconds... *head desk*)
