Oh thats not much fun...
maybe not... but could you imagine me without a tv for however long? lol
No, nor anyone! Hope you get a nice one.
I'm one to talk...I've asked Santy Claus for a kettle and other practical household things.
oh i did.. it's hd and has plenty of ports for plugging in dvd/nes and such like.
Sounds like a good one - now you can watch Chris Packham's bogies in glorious detail.
unfortunately to do that i would have to get an ariel. i'm on a v-box right now... not v+ or tivo sadly. lol
as for tv.. i thoroughly recommend a show called 'once upon a time' (have i mentioned this? i have no memory and am too lazy to look back ). i have a new found appreciation of Jiminy Cricket. *nods*
Tell me more... what is it + what channel?
it's about (right, this will sound hokey... it's not as bad as it sounds) a small town in america were storybook characters have been cursed to live. you'd really need to see an episode or two to understand why that is better than it sounds...
as for channel... umm.. it's on abc, don't think it's been picked up here yet.
Sounds delightfully odd. I like quirky, fantasy type shows. Pushing Daisies was pretty out there, and I loved that.
it is.. with lost style flashbacks (and a few lost based easter eggs too).
robert carlyle is amazing as rumpelstiltskin. and i complete adore rafael sbarge (what a name, eh?) as jiminy cricket.
Sounds intriguing.
*tries not to sound like an obsessing, obsesser that obsesses*
i think i have failed. *nods*

Speaking of being obsessed... Yay! Neil Oliver has a new series "The Last Explorers". I found it tucked away on iplayer. I think its only being shown on BBC Scotland for now.
yeah, i saw a couple of episodes... being paddled down a river in africa and what not. i think there's only 4 episodes.
Have downloaded the first ep - it'll be next in the must-watch-queue, after Frozen Planet.
i have cleared my v+ backlog... unfortunately today is the day the recordings start back up. lol
I missed a couple of Autumnwatches oh well...
However, the Neil Oliver series sounds like something to look forward to.
aww... did you watch badger cam at all this year? they were very cute. one night one of them noticed the camera, gave it a right good sniff and then slept in the most uncomfortable position (hind legs up in the air)... badger sleep noises are very soothing. *nods*
Umm.. I think I remember it... sound dead cute anyway I hope I get re-incarnated as a badger.
badgers are adorable... honey badgers and most mustelids are... except the north american badger... they just look weird.
Aww otters are mustelids too aren't they? They're so cute. I'd love to have a tame one, although they turn quite aggressive once they hit adolescence. Ask Terry Nutkins.
yeah they are. cute indeed.
yeah, go to neopets and adopt a lutari on lutari day... probably safer. *nods*
Definitely safer
Oh I googled american badger. I see what you mean. They look all wrong, closer to a skunk.
skunks are cute too. *nods*
decided during all the panda stuff yesterday that there's something about black and white animals.
panda, badger, skunk, honey badger, zebra and those white tigers.
Magpies, fresian cows border collies and dalmations
those too. i'll throw in tuxedo cats since they apparently out of fashion right now with prospective cat owners.
Yeah I heard that too, that they're the least popular. I love B+W cats, my Auntie used to have one called Beauty.
my aunt had one called Tashie, he had a tache.
Really? Our Whoose ( RIP ) was all black with a white dot on her chest.
i think they are pretty cats.
did you hear about hurricane bawbag? stv news website started to use that name too... but they chickened out during the 6 o'clock news. silly stv.
I did hear about it, someone of the comments on twitter were hilarious. Was it bad where you are Hitch?
it wasn't too bad... some structural damage up byres road and my dad got blew off his feet on the mini roundabout. (he's ok. just landed on his back and couldn't get back up... a wee wifie had to help him)
Wow that must have been scary for your dad
I got the Christmas Radio Times - the TG special is in India. Sounds really good.
His main concern was that no one mistook him for a junkie. There was one lying there a few months back shouting.
I saw, shall be interesting. *nods*

Hope your Dad is none the worse for it. There are more storms on the way apparently.
He's ok... not even a scratch. *nods*
By the way, do you think the top gear special will still be on... they replaced friday's QI cause Jezza was on it. (there are methods to watch it.)
Oh no, I hope not. The furore should have died down by then. I can't believe they cut Jezza out of QI - total overreaction.
especially since what he said wasn't bad in context... of course the news shows kept airing it out of context.
it was a good episode of QI by the way... on youtube. *nods*
