Well done for passing the theory test
*brings in some cherry coke and cookies to cheer Hitch up*
Oh and its Neil Oliver tonight... some windsweptiness to look forward to.

ah yes... plus lots of interesting factoids about bronze.
they had a wee credit crunch too back in the day. *nods*
Amazing wasn't it? Things haven't changed much.
Didn't like the mine shaft, felt so claustrophobic , especially when he turned out the light.
*nods* wouldn't have got me down there... mind, i probably wouldn't fit.
Me either.
B.t.w. sorry for any typos I've been making, I've been using my little Acer netbook recently. The screen is teeny - reading text onscreen is like reading the small print down the side of a box.
that's ok... have to say i haven't noticed...plus add to that the fact my typing skills are negligible anyway.
how you finding a netbook? ok for facebook and the like? they look cute, but no good for gamers i wouldn't think.
I love it, its a little refurbished one ( but its actually new I think ) which I got from Dabs.com. Its really just for surfing and that, it doesn't have a dvd slot for example. Definitely wouldn't be anywhere near powerful enough for gaming! But it is dinky to carry around, not much bigger than a paperback book
My laptop is playing up, and also bits and pieces have fallen off it, so I'm looking at replacements. By far the cheapest I've found for laptops is Dixons, thay have really nice refurbished laptops with Windows 7 starting at ÂĢ100
I guess you must have a mighty machine if you game on it? What type do you have Hitch?
not mighty no.. a little old and the dvd drive is completely kapoot.
vista home premium, it came with 1gb ram and the most i could upgrade to is 2gb, makes noises a lot.. (fan noises), i'd like at least 4gb ram. also, i prefer desktops to laptops, i know they aren't the fashion now but i've always been a little old fashioned. lol (is generally thought to be stuck in the 80s... the 1880s)
lol1880's ,twas a good decade that.
*nods* My brother Owen works in IT and he prefers desktops to laptops. He warned me that if it breaks down, destops are much easier to fix and retrieve data from - laptops are risky. He was right, I've gone through a couple and lost data along the way.
I don't use my laptop for much apart from faffing around. I just like the look and feel of them. I'm a fancy dan, me .
never kept anything that important on a computer, so not so worried about data loss.
laptops are ok, but they can be a bit temperamental about games even if you are ok spec wise.
I lost some photos (scans) and that..
Any word of you getting another driving test date Hitch?
yep... 13th of june... need to pass this one or i'll be resitting my theory, which i really don't want... lol
our branch of the family has all the hard copies of the old photos, lucky that way.
At least you don't have wait too long.
Oh b.t.w. have you seen the rumours in the tabs that Jezza has been "playing away"? Hope his wife hits him with the frying pan
i saw the rumours... but only in someone's column mentioning it. don't know the story really.
It was in The Mirror... more fool him, the potbellied prat.
On to better things, Neil Oliver's DNA ancestry test produced interesting results!
yeah, i was actually surprised that one half of his family didn't branch off from scotland at all. the southern european thing wasn't a shock with that hair.
something i'd like to check out myself... but, i'd apparently need a full brother, and i have no siblings.
Shame that, could you persuade your mother or father to get tested? I suspect it would be fairly expensive though.
No Neil Oliver's southern European heritage was no surprise lol. As for the Eastern European bit, i'd like to imagine him being descended from Cossacks or Tartars
tartars? i'm thinking of fish sauce now...
far too expensive... i am stint.
Its no fun being skint.
I probably wouldn't be allowed tartar sauce on my diet, not even allowed bread . However I've just ordered low carb soya flour and gluten flour from an online health store, i'm going to try to bake something.
aww boo.
fingers crossed it goes well for you.
Flour arrived this morning, i just made some pancakes, they're nice but a but mushy. Think it will take some experimenting
biscuits! try biscuits!
*always fails at biscuits*
I shall try biscuits indeed! even better - butter is allowed - so I will attempt some shortbread. Yipeeee...
woo! *sends address in case they work*
Will do
Mind you Hitch, they come with a health warning; do you know how much butter goes into shortbread? About half a packet to make just a small batch Apparently butter is allowed on the Atkins diet, but it just doesn't seem healthy.
*nods* a buttload of butter... yummy shortbread.
ever made pastry? so much worse, all that butter plus the same amount of lard...
well, i think the idea is not to decry fat... fats have their good points too. just that the carbs get burnt off before fat.
Never made pastry, just used jus-roll
"Decry" I like that word!
Neil Oliver is pretty handy with a sword, I knew he had warrior blood, * faints*
yep.. love jus-roll... makes sausage rolls regularly with it.
hehe... warrior neil action figure now with stabby motion.
LMAO I love that idea!
Can it please have windswepty hair too?
i don't believe any other hair option is possible.
Excellent I shall order ten please.
HAPPY EASTER Hitch. Hope you got some nice choccy eggs.
happy easter to you too.
*puts in the action figure order*
fank oo.
I am feeling very virtuous today, did 2 hrs on my exercise bike. Wonder how much of my Easter Egg it worked off.
hmm... i haa a half pizza crunch and chips for breakfast... i think there is no amount of excerise that will do. lol

Thats definitely a hearty breakfast. I'm more of a one for calorie-laden midnight snacks
ah... i'm too stuffed up at midnight for snacks... unless they are lozenges.
i did an hour straight on the bike, with just a quick break for water. Not that fit though, almost threw up when I came off it.
egads! not good for you that exercise lark.
