Seriously though, my concentration does wander... I wanted to listen and learn to Prof Brian Cox's series on the cosmos... after 15 mins I was hopelessly lost *blush*

weirdly, i haven't been watching brian cox... i like science, i like him, but... he's a little too  militantly against anything he considers 'woowoo'... i think life is dull without it.

I suppose he is quite matter of fact, in what he says... once you get past the sweeping camera shots and surging music?

i mean he doesn't believe in things like say...astrology... which in and of itself is fine.

it's just the way he acts like because he doesn't believe something, anyone that does is stupid or mad.

annoys me because my life has been full of 'woowoo' so far. and i'm enough of a sceptic to check things out and have a good logical think, but had things i can't explain. *shrugs*

non-zombieness is great with my driving test on the 5th. lol

actually feel really relaxed now, the past few weeks i've been coming online and rushing through everything, shower and bed. think i may play sims for the first time in years. lol

Hope your driving test goes well... I did an intensive course ... me and and a guy shared... about 11 hours each.... he passed and I failed... but with another six hours tuition I passed
Driving is a great skill - so handy

Good luck for the 5th. I'm sure you'll do really well. Is there anything you find difficult? I was failed for braking too sharply. You're supposed to roll the car gently to a stop, but I used to approach the kerb at speed and slam on the brakes, Starsky and Hutch style. I blame it on watching all those US cop shows as a child.

i'm maybe a wee bit hesitant... we are having a block of lessons in the run up to get that ironed out.

 

my theory test had a question about sheep then my hazzard perception had a video with sheep around the road jumping out at strange times... and i somehow passed.

 

i put it down to the sheep. *nods*

Try not to pressurise yourself... there's always more chances, but its a nice bonus if you should get it first time... thats the best way to approach it, no?

Yes the uilleann pipes make a nice accompaniment  to a reel( in Ireland anyway ). Err.. a  reel is a  sort of set-dance or jig.

I'm partial to traditional  music, and have a few tunes on my mp3. Allright  we're both allowed a pass...you  for your sci fi/fantasy stuff  and me for my jig / hooley music.

in scots that style of music is called heuchter teuchter music. it's played by teuchters (highland and islanders) and you heuch a lot during it. (if you've ever seen scottish country dancing the weird high pitched call that comes out occasionally is the 'heuch'.

i'm not too concerned, instructor told me just to reapply straight away.

Hope you can get another chance soon. What were the things he failed you for?

pulling out from right behind a car.. i got too close, that was the major.

 

i got a wee stroke for speed, steering and something else.. but i would've gotten away with them.

That doesn't sound too bad. Better luck for the next time. Meh I hardly know anyone who got it first time around, not young peeps anyway, especially  as they've toughened up the theory part of the test.

i can't actually believe i passed the theory.... tests make me nervous. lol

 

apparently one of cousins took 10 tries... hopefully i shan't take that long.
