Happy Burns Night Hitch
Do Scots actually celebrate it? I saw Haggis on sale on the Asda website. I was tempted, but decided to give it a miss as it was quite cheap... probably not premium quality *sniff*

Wow Hitch, your local chipper serves haggis and chips!!! How cool is that? I've always imagined it tastes a bit like sausage? So whats it like?
it has a smoother, meltier texture than a sausage... spicy, but not too hot.

I like the sound of haggis, I must try it.
b.t.w the national dish where I come from, Belfast, is "champ". Mashed potatoes with milk, butter and scallions ( spring onions ).

Have you feen following the Australian Open Hitch? With Nadal and Federer out, Andy Murray has a great chance. I really hope he does it
not a fan of tennis to be honest.. i curse the wimbledon fortnight generally. lol
not really the sort to follow someone because they are scots/british either.
tv awards... cannot believe david jason (well actually, that one had a cold certainty ) and waterloo road beat sherlock! glad tg got it though.

Yay for TG
I quite like Andy Murray. Mind you I have low expectations, being used to watching Henman, who almost couldn't go through a match without having a meltdown.

i enjoyed mcenroe as a quiz show on the bbc that time... hated the game though. that's as close as i've ever got to liking tennis.

Straight sets defeat, ouch . Poor Murray.
TG tonight should be a laugh, they're taking on the Australian TG presenters. I think we can expect lots of withering putdowns from Jezza heh heh.

someone on the facebook widget of my shiny new phone said he'd bottled it.

I'm glad we have our guys and not the 3 Aussie presenters, I found them intensely irritating. Good to see "James May" bring home the win.
yeah, the boys did good. in their inimitable style.m *ahem*

I see TG got into trouble again - for insulting Mexicans. Jezza must have insult-making written into his contract.

Aye, its dreary.
I live in an old building ( Georgian ) converted into flats. There are sash windows etc... when its wet and windy like today the wind rattles through the building, it sounds spooky.

i'm in a victorian tennement... thankfully they removed the sash windows when they rennovated.

The tenements in Glasgow are pretty famous. Hopefully they've rennovated them to a good standard, Hitch.

well, they are alright... wouldn't like to go round the house with a spirit level though.
