I am listenig to Gerry Ryans funeral live on radio

three weeks-ish, the finale is a double episode plus some...and it`s on on sunday in the us.. rather than the  wednesday that would follow... but sky are keeping it to the friday... silly, as no one is going to go cold turkey internet for five days. everyone has said  they are downloading it.

not sure if it's right to ask 'how was the funeral?' but you know what i mean, right?

Funeral was very diginifed. His wife spoke + ended with quotes from Blade Runner and 2001. Gerry was obviously a big sci fi fan.

Yes its worrying. Must feel very unfair to you, that theres only one tory mp in Scotland, yet theyre the Govt. At least you have some lib dem mps. Northern Ireland has no parties allied with the Tories + just 1MP allied to the lib dems ( Alliance party ) Its like living in occupied territory! Harumph!

we do have a devolved parliament... do not see the tories and the snp getting along for any length of time.

Theres a Local Assembly in NI. Not sure what the members do ( apart from pay themselves lots of dosh ). On a lighter note, did you read JM's latest article, he fancies getting a VW Camper Van.

i think it'll be the wednesday after it'll hit me and i'll go into mourning.i'm making plans for the monday i download it. cake, dharma labels and kleenex are top of the list.

Apparently Sky are doing a simulcast at 5 am on Monday to beat the pirates. Wow it must be a big event .

yeah.. i`ve heard... yet still my mind says eztv has no ads.. lol

why are they simulcasting pst and not est? i could watch it live at est. that time means i'd be half an hour late for work. lol v+ it is i guess.

No matter how good a show is... don't think i could enjoy it at 5 a.m.

well, i'm generally awake by that time... only celia and she's so far behind i'm going to loan her the box set of season 6 when it comes.

loved it as a matter of fact... the only people that seem to not have liked it are the ones that weren't paying attention and thought they were all dead on the island for the past 6 seasons.

my boys survived so i'm especially happy.

i can understand though... when christian first showed up i was 'wtf!?', but as i listened to what was being said (also ben and hurley's conversation) it all sort of clicked and contented me.

some people went into it with a 'we are going to get all the answers' mentality... massive mistake really.

I prefer shows that are mysterious and don't spell it out for you

half way through the discworld too... only two/three real complaints so far.. i guess it helps that i didn't really enjoy the book and as such, not too emotionally invested.

Aww, sniff.... there are no current shows I'm into. Glee is hit and miss. I'm actually looking forward dare i say it, to the final ever BB  .

sad news today... Rue McClanahan has died, at 76. betty white sole remaining golden girl.
