Oooh ok will watch out for it.
ah! the lost series finale has a name now... it's becoming too real!

Awww thats sad. I sympathise as I'm dreading the end of Mad Men... what'll I do? Another series has been commissioned in the U.S. However I get a sinking feeling the BBC will drop it in their "cuts"
boo to the bbc.they'd be mad to drop that one... although i haven't watched it, i hear it's good.
anyhow, seems like it's only a two hour finale this year, so i'm safe for a wee while... not long mind.
i've decided i'm going to randomly start making smoke monster noises... i'll miss smokey most of all.

Was listening back to some Irish radio ( RTE 2 fm) today. J J Abrahams, creator of Lost... heh heh lost his wallet while on holiday with his family in Co. Mayo recently. A woman working in a chipper handed it in fully intact with cash + cards
Wahaay for the Irish.

chipper = chippie?
cool.
cool.

yes that what Irish people call a chippie.
The woman was on the Gerry Ryan show. She said J J Abrahams was very nice + gave her a reward. Interestingly he was on holiday in Charleville - theres a lovely old castle there - said to be the most haunted in Ireland. Wonder will his next project be about the supernatural.

Jezza's latest in the times made me laugh. My childhood was the seventies, and he's right, it was mad. Scargill's shredded wheat hair, I'd forgotten about that LMAO

unfortunately i was born in the very last week of the seventies (official) my memory of it is non-existent. memories start about mid '81.
but i do remember scargill from the 80s. unfortunately it's kinnock that's the big hair memory for me.

LOL... Kinnock's was bad too. I always remember him hosting HIGNFY. Made an eejit of himself with his complete absence of a sense of humour.
I was born Oct 1970. The big thing I rememberint eh 70's was the power cuts and everybody scrambling for candles in the dark.
power-cuts are fun when you're little... or was that just me?
the 80's were just strikes... if it wasn't the miners it was the french air traffic controllers.

Yep power cuts are fun when you're little - but they seemed to happen a lot in the 70's!
Its SO cool you were born right in the last few days of the seventies. If your first memory is mid 81, jeez you must have a phenomenal memory though
i umm.. have a weird memory...
used to get really frustrated when people were asking the same questions everyday, like 'i can remember about you, why can't you remember about me?' i've come to realise it's normal for people not to remember.

Yeh I used to have a close friend like that. She would often not remember stuff I'd told her. She was a really nice person, but that bugged me. I'd logged everything she'd told me about her.
i think people just don't pay attention.
Former Member
b.t.w. by "logged" I meant logged in my noggin, not kept an actual log
True - some people don't pay attention. I once read a self help book that said the golden rule of conversation, is always remember the other person is approximately 1000 times more interested in themselves than they are in you.
Heh heh - deffo met a few like that.

i guessed that was what you meant. didn't take you for a crazy notepad lady.
ah... that is probably one of the truest things ever said.
