Been blowy here too yes... occasional gust are bad... mostly ok.
Did you see the sky though? Nacreous clouds!

Just looked it up. Cool . No I've never seen one of those, Did you take that photo?
I did. I walked out of Gregg's with my dinner and my jaw dropped. Then I grabbed my phone. Surprised it showed up as well as it did.
What a great thing to see... and quite spooky
Thought it was a bit of rainbow at first... then saw the streetlights. W.t.h.? my wee brain can't process it at all
It's apparently clouds being high enough/the right sort with the sun at a certain angle. Extremely rare. I'm so happy, miss so much here with light pollution and, rather ironically, clouds.
Holding an owl, seeing extremely rare sights in the sky... this is bucket list stuff! Amazing
Ooh... It is bucket list-ish. I need to tick-off more!
Yeah! Go for it... what else would you like to do? I suppose the best stuff happens by chance though...you can't plan it.
Is this Bucket list stuff?
I swallowed a 10p and lived to tell the tale [ in the 70's when they were bigger ] Saw a chest x ray with it showing = it looked like the moon
Was up close to deadly creatures... a blue ringed octopus! And my leg practically brushed a stonefish! I got the danger sign from another diver
Eaten a green ant! [ just the abdomen, it tasted like a citrus tic tac]
Bitten by a ladybird though no-one believes me! [ maybe not that one ]
Definitely. Those fit. Why did you eat a green ant? I believe you about the ladybird, they are nippy. *nods*
I think if I listed things... I'd be less likely to do them. I completed a rubik's cube... that buckety... maybe learn the "proper" moves so I can do it fast? I can do the first layer with barely a thought... the other two not so easy.
Doing a rubik's cube is hard. I tried lots and never managed it. Definitely buckety .
When I was backpacking round Australia a guide got us to eat green ants. Gosh that was so long ago, 1993.
Don't forget - you've met some bona fide icons - like Dirk Benedict! Buckety for sure,
And you've witnessed a poltergeist / levitating object Top notch bucket list stuff. Seeing a ghost would be amazing, I'm jealous of people who have. I've just sensed things...
Australia is buckety in and of itself! unless, of course, you happen to be Australian... which you aren't... I think...
Sensing ghosts is good too. The amount of people that can't even do that...
From Norn Iron. I was lucky to get the opportunity to travel when I was young [ with the compo from my car accident ]. Hey! We've both been to China - before it got really westernised and opened up. And you've seen the terracotta army ... the sight of sights! Now that is the ultimate buckety!
Bad luck in the rugby ... did Scotland play well?
Not particularly, but it was close... so there's that.
You are well travelled indeed. *nods*
I puked halfway up the Pyrenees... that's... sort of interesting... I guess?
Very! A mishap at an exotic location always makes it more interesting!
Where were you going, when was this etc?
I was going to Andorra La Vella. I was 8 or 9. I don't bus well on level surfaces, so this shouldn't have been surprising. My mum's navy skirt ended up with a purple splodge that would never go away.
Good times.
A memento is even better!
JM's show last nightwas ok. He slagged off Jezza a couple of times I miss them so much I'm hanging on to every mention...
Jezza is a wonderful target. *nods*
He is, he is.
Matt Le Blanc for TG? Really? He's not that entertaining in interviews.
I know... Chris Evans has just seen all the "meh" comments and thought "I know! I'll get my famous, Hollywood pal in." and... No... I think I'm even less likely to watch now.
Me too. It's gonna be carp. It has carp written all over it!
BBC announcment a few minutes ago:
Formula 1 commentator Eddie Jordan and German racing driver Sabine Schmitz are to join the new series of Top Gear.
Motor journalist Chris Harris and TV presenter Rory Reid have also been signed to co-present the programme.
They will join Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc when the BBC Two programme returns in May.
Thanks El Loro. The main appeal of TG was its daftness and it sounds like they're taking it in different direction with that new line - up.
Roger, I've amended Scmitz to Schmitz in my post as when I saw that you had liked my reply I noticed that it looked wrong, checked it and the BBC article had misspelt it (they've amended it now). So for a change it's non mea culpa
Silly BBC El Loro Wonder is it an omen
That's... a lot of people. Sabine taking the Stig's place, perhaps?
Could be? Though I think I saw pictures of the Stig alongside the new line-up.
Scotland so close in the rugby... you look to be playing well though that's probably not much consolation
Lets not mention Ireland... Nothing to see here!
Yes, the Stig's inclusion has been mentioned to me just now.
Also yes, let's not mention Ireland... Although, George North man... what you going to do against him? *sighs* (I shouldn't talk about Wales either... but there you are.)
Indeed what can you do...*nods*
Just occurred to me... wonder what they'll call the new not-Top-Gear show on Amazon?
Top Steer! *ahem*
Umm... 5th Gear's taken. We need to plumb the depths of car puns! Whilst thinking like middle-aged, white men... hmmm?
Not bad, not bad...
I'm sure they won't disappoint... its bound to be a cheeky dig at Top Gear
I'm sure there will be digs peppered throughout the first season... Maybe even a few directed at Jezza by the other two.
Yes... there'll be a never-ending supply
There was a programme on BBC2 tonight called Back in Time for The Weekend - it said the hot summer of 1976 led to a reduction in aphids meaning there were swarms of ladybirds and reports of them biting people.!!!
I feel like a conspiracy theorist who's finally been proven right
I think I saw something about on "That's Life" once. So, I have always believed you. *nods loyally*
I saw Pride and Zomzoms today. They removed the bit of the book I liked. I guess they thought it might be too dark. Boo to them.
just looked that up.... sounds fun, if bonkers
Sorry they messed with the book Hate when they do that!
Oh... I'm impressed you wound it. I hate using the full name as it's an awkward mouthful. Was there a google "Did you mean..."?

No I found the full title but knew it would be the sort of quirky thing you'd like Hitch?
It gave me a real chuckle as even though P + P is a really good book, we were taught it for O Level, by the most uptight rules-tastic teacher ever . She almost ruined the fun of reading it by going through it in strictly set out chunks + giving us quotes to learn per week. That particular teacher would be having a fit if she read this version!!! Somehow I think Jane Austen would approve too as she had quite a sarky sense of humour
I have to admit, not too keen on the book ("& Zombies", not the Austen original. I love that.) The movie missed out the storyline I was most interested in (Charlotte and Mr Collins... rather different to the overly practical arrangement Austen wrote).
Actually, not keen on zombies either... Really, not sure why I wanted to see this movie so much...
Never got it in school. I was in a mid-level English class. Even though I'd read it a few times already. If you get a chance, check it out.
Okey dokes...pity Mr Collins wasn't in the movie though... would love to see him getting the zombie fear! I was never one for Zombies until The Walking Dead... but aahhh then again, it's so much more than zombies.
See TG is filming muscle cars in Scotland... wish they'd ruddy hurry up and show it!
