aww, sad when laptops die.

*crosses fingers for dirk*

a theatre company were in with the kids today. the only hall in the school is right next to the kitchen (i mean only hall, diner hall, gym hall, assembly hall and main thoroughfare through the school).they played music as part of it... and after about two three bars i was all 'ooh! bsg!'  i got excited.

Yeh Vista Home Premium is a lot different, Basic was a waste of time.

My smilies work now  On the negative side, the customer service from PC World was appalling. They were inadvertently given the wrong delivery address and then ignored 3 emails and a phone call requesting them to correct it. In the end i had to make several internet searches + frantic calls to the couriers until I located the right depot + tell them. Think they spend more on their ads than they do on after sales service

pc world are shocking really. their ads are (or at least used to be) made by 'the mob' who do the discworld movies, which i've never been overly thrilled with.

when we bought this computer it came with a free health check... but that's an 'instore service' which means i would have to lug the desktop's tower to finneston, via bus... not happening. wish we had the nerd herd instead of the tech squad.. they are fictional but do home visits.

the nerd herd drive toyota yaris with nerd herd branding on them... but chuck's has been fiddled with by one of the agencies looking after him, so his is 'souped up'.

(i add to all that ... watch chuck! it's so sweet!)

oh. anyone seen the new insurance add with stephen fry and paul merton? the a-team van runs into the trotter's 3 wheeler... the three wheeler survives. ba is kind to the underdog. on a similar note, my mum asked me to help her with a puzzle in one of her magazies...

q: find all 4 members of the a-team.

me: way ahead of you!

and they actually put full-ish names (well, all that is known), except for ba... neither 'bad ass' nor 'bosco albert' was put for him... merely ba. since i found him last it dented my cheerfulness at templeton 'faceman' peck, john 'hannibal' smith and hm 'howling mad' murdock.

Neil doing strictly? That would be cool I agree, is he quite tall? *pictures him as she squints* Erin tends to get tallish partners or it could be Canadian Katya.

Had a Jezza dream last night , it was dead cool, we were team mates on a race and we were in a speedboat and we were going so fast that the water was white and silvery going over us in an arc and hitting the water perfectly behind us, then we were in a rackety wooden type tram where the line finally met the beach and it stopped on the sand.  We thought we were last, so we ate, then went running up stone steps as we found out we were finishing 10th out of 52 teams!!! If we hadn't stopped to eat who knows?
Even now I can 'see' the arc of water really clearly, there was a bit more but i can't remember.

Hi by the way
