We are back to our normal place this year... fighting it out with Faerieland not to come last. 
She's looking strong and healthy, her traps look so tempting... I wouldn't last long as a fly, I don't think. I got a little worried by how sad she looked during winter... but that was a sort of hibernation.
You've done really well to keep her alive... sounds like she's thriving.
I planted herb seeds last night. Looks like there's going to be room on the windowsill for them

Marigolds are ok, but the nasturtiums are looking poorly. They're not indoor plants so its not surprising

really easy... and I made them in the frying pan... just had the oil fairly deep. It was only "hit and miss" because the oil got too shallow and they touched the bottom when they rose... some of them blackened.

Yes. Would you like? I spent ages trying to find one that didn't have yeast (over complicated, didn't use yeast in home ec) or milk (things don't keep if you use milk).

Not really. The 1/4 cup on the recipe is part of the dough mixture... It's a lot of oil for frying. You can bake that recipe if you prefer, not sure, but I think a low heat... gas mark 3 or 4.
Made some creations last night that resembled small thick pancakes but tasted like doughnuts. They taste yummy - so very pleased.

How has your first week of hols been?
It's been ok. I finished my MST3K watch through and had a "post-MST3K funk", got my Double All Star on the AC (the only team Altador themed prize? "unsettling fan art of Lyvon Cibaire", serves me right for dreaming of a Winberto plushie.), and I was reminded how fast 1 person can fill a washing basket. 
I also got my "My Little Pony" style Gamera t-shirt... so it's all good.

At the moment I'm on a tv break(-ish). Biggest Loser AU and the Horror Channel (and MST3K, but you know that) are pretty much all I'm watching right now. Oh! Nearly forgot... a Sailor Moon reboot has just started in Japan, first episode was on Friday, should be once a fortnight... I'll have that on for a few months.
