No, not too close. Saw one or two swimming about the sea... it's that clear there.
The apple seedling got blown over on the windowsill - stem is broken
Oh well... more marigold seedlings sprouted ... hope those make it.
Oh no! *buys you more apples*
Thanks Hitch Tis ok... have lots of seed trays planted, just waiting for them to show. Hurry up warm weather!
Yes weather! Hurry!
I probably wont see Game of Thrones (or the 2 hour OUaT season finale) until Tuesday. Off to see Wicked tonight, which in the case of OUaT it is actually ironic that we're off to see the wizard!
Wow! Lucky you, hope you have a good time
I had a lovely time. Seems every single Glasgow ticket got snapped up (and it's on for just under a month), very lucky to get them.
Saw all my shows. Got to love Tyrion. OUaT has lined up an interesting big bad for season 4.
Glad you had a good time Is Wicked as good as they say? What were the songs like?
Tyrion is amazing, he made be go a bit
It was brilliant. Funny and sad and yay! Songs? amazing! Defying Gravity was definitely a high point. Popular and What is This Feeling? funny.
Yes... Boo to Shae though. *shakes fist* I guess Varys too... but...
Yay for Wicked!
Shae... indeed that was a shocker. Was good to see Mark Gatiss in it too.
In the book... Shae isn't as nice... so, while it's still a surprise, I can imagine it's less of a surprise than it was for show watchers.
In Mad Men news... the real Don is back
Got a few cornflower seedlings and a dahlia so all is well.
Ooh! I thought he had died on the battlefield? I guess he's a bit shifty too then?
Ooh! I thought he had died on the battlefield? I guess he's a bit shifty too then?
No that one is definitely
Sorry.... I meant Don is "back" and in top alpha male form again... he was a depresso drunk for a while.
Ah right. (They need a better "doh" icon here.) Ah yes, always good when a character gets back to their old self.
Missed it, but Neil Oliver is doing Australian Coast.
Might we see him in shorts? *swoons in advance*
I had seen it advertised, never got around to watching it... trying to get as much of my MST3K watch done before the Altador Cup starts as possible. I'm sure we must!
Sounds like you have your hands full lol. Enjoy
If Neil is in shorts I will report back
*salutes* Sah!
Very good, commerade! *salutes*
Just back from the rugby. We made the final, Munster are cheating so-and-sos and the ref was atrocious. Good night, I shan't be able to speak tomorrow.

Booo to Munster
Yay! Glad you got through and enjoyed yourself
I can speak. It's a miracle!
Watching the Scottish or FA cup final today?

Ekk no just faffing - writing emails and watering the seeds. Must have about 60 cornflower seedlings!!! And a handful each of dahlia, hardy summer annuals, and marigold. No nasturtium or poppy yet.
You watching the footy?
I am. St Johnstone have just won their first major trophy in their 130 year history... which is nice.
Currently hoping for Hull to have a similar moment.
Faffing is good. It's what weekends are for.
Well done St Johnstone
Alas, Hull let the side down...
Alas, Hull let the side down...
Almost a fairy tale... shame
Are you looking forward to the World Cup? I'm going to ask the VPN fairies to bring me RTE coverage for the month. Its much better.
I imagine it would be. ITV's coverage would be ok if they could get Strachan in again... but since he's Scotland boss now, I doubt it.
Be interesting to see how they deal with the protesters. I think there's going to be exclusion zones...
Oh! Talking of which, there are going to be 3 mile traffic exclusion zones around Commonwealth games venues... Scotstoun Stadium is two/three blocks away from me, Kelvinhall is about two miles away. I'll be gubbed if I want to go anywhere this year.
Wow that's serious security. Mind you its a massive event. Suppose there's been big preparations around the city?
The Giro D'Italia was in Belfast recently... lots of roads closed, everyone wearing pink [not a very Belfast colour] Even the mayor died his hair pink.
It's not really security... it's too keep the roads clear for people getting to the venues.
Giro D'Italia? What's that?

Probably the biggest cycling race after the Tour De France. .. Bellyfast thought it was a big deal and the world was watching. Seemingly not
That said... I'm barely aware that people cycle through France on occasion... so you know...
Roger looking cool there on your avatar.
Oh. Did I tell you? Dirk Benedict will be Glasgow in August for signages. I am going to go on behalf of the A-team thread. *salutes*
Oooh how amazing you'll get to meet him! Wonder what he's doing nowadays. His son is a foooty player or something?
Thank you.... avi is Ricky Spanish, Roger's most notorious persona. He's badass. Or maybe just bad:
Well... he seems pleasant and quality...
I have no idea, all I know is I shall have my BSG boxset for signing.
lol I know
... dunno why...but I'm in a Ricky Spanish mood. He's wronged everyone in town and they all hate him Bad to the bone.
Mad Men done, break for Supper then G.O.T.
Enjoy GoT.
I was really happy to see an old friendly face I wasn't expecting. I'll let you guess who.
Ahhh thats what you meant Loved seeing Hotpie again [its all about the gravy] Great ending too. Tyrion and Oberon's talk was very moving
How do you feel as a book reader... how do you think its going so far?
It was nice to see Lollys mentioned too. She gets a bad deal in the books, although I actually think (Ser) Bronn (of the Blackwater) will be good for her (only heard of them in passing since that scene with Tyrion). I will tell you her backstory, if you like...
As a book reader I await next week with baited breath.
Oooh yes please?
Gah! Its a two week wait cos of the holiday in America
I know! *shakes fist at American holidays*
Ok, Lollys... You remember the riot Joffery started off? The one where the Hound saved Sansa from being gang raped? Well, Lollys didn't have a big burly type looking out for her. She ended up pregnant with severe PTSD. Only, in Westeros they don't understand PTSD so everyone treated her like a simpleton and a hassle. Sansa was more patient with her, but even she wasn't that nice about it.
Bronn takes charge of naming the baby by the way... I hope they mention that.
Oh wow, wow . Thanks for that. Hope Bronn is good to her.
They must be missing loads out. Also read on a blog that Oberyn's sister [ the one whose murder and rape he is avenging] was kind and picked baby Tyrion up.
