Yes, got Ruby and Temps on facebook and twitter.

There is that. Hopfully the workmen won't be there long.

I think Temps nipped into the BB forum recently. Its good you're still in touch with Ruby... hope things are going well for her.

I didn't.. in fact what is this thing? It sounds environmental... maybe Hammond is there to be all "see! TG presenters aren't all anti-environmental! look how cute he is! you like him on that show with the people falling over! watch TG!"...

Sort of like that bit during the grand national with James May (and Rory! we didn't see Rory... ). He did a nice vignette for them...I actually learned stuff about the inner workings of horses. Also... new man lab soon.

Sorry! Sorry!

It's Barnabas Collins from Dark Shadows (as played by Jonathan Frid, who passed on the 13th of this month. ). It was a 1960s supernatural soap opera, Sci-fi channel reran them in the 90s... I used to make sure my vcr was set on a sunday night to record them for the week when I was at school.

Coolest vampire ever. Angel and Spike, I love too but even they pale by comparison... as for that Cullan joker? we'll say no more.

He is about to be absolutely ruined by Johnny Depp/Tim Burton in our local cinemas. *nods*

Well... he is a vampire. He's not evil though. One of the good guys, well, good-er, it is a soap.

In the later episodes when there is colour film (exciting!), you can see that he isn't the stereotypical pale skinned vamp. The make-up department were slightly heavy with the bronzer/blusher.

That is one of the rare occasions that you see him vamped out. If I remember correctly, he's only killed "baddies" after he got released (175 year locked in a crypt must make you hungry)... And Dr Hoffman had a way to cure/control the bloodlust too.

Very cool, calm and collected our Barnabas and intelligent. *nods* The new movie seems to have Depp jumping around all "wah! what is this new fangled technology! *panics*" and ye olde... Barnabas was nothing like that, very adaptable.

*rabbit rabbit rabbit*

I'm geeking out again. I do apologies.

Ah yes... Whichever bright spark decided to cast Tom Cruise as Lestat?! Brad Pitt as Louis?! Kirsten Dunst as... oh gods I can't remember her name. lol Armand was ok... I guess. Puss in boots did him I think? Another one were I think the book is superior.

It was a good series, if you excuse cheesy soap-like nature of it and the wobbly cardboard tombstones.

I wish they'd replay it again, a few vcr hiccups mean I have next to no grasp of what was happening during the Leviathan storyline.
