I'm sure AEG and thousands of his fans agree with you.
yeah a very sad day for all his fans
I heard on the news loads of fans had av gathering outside the o2 tonight and were doing a specialn memorial for him. If I lived nearer London I would of gone but I dont so I couldnt go but I am thinking of Michael and I am listening to his music
I saw images off people taking flowers down to the o2 area. I have heard Leona Lewis might be doing a show instead.
I watched his life in music earlier, I never knew he had a xmas number 1

My son had tickets and would have been staying with me, he's at university in Bangor Wales. I haven't seen him since Christmas.

Where did you see his life in music? So sad that he didnt get to do his concerts. That would have been a defining moment for him and he was robbed of it. Thats what upset me the most. The cruel timing of his death.

I know how you feel. My son's in the army and I haven't seen him since last August. He's coming down for a wedding this week though.

My son was in the Army for 8 years, I know what you go through every day.
Michael might still be alive if they had stuck to the original agreement for him to do 10 concerts. But AEG pushing it to 50 was just too much for someone who has not performed for years.
Miss Speedway yes there were loads of flowers laid at the o2 by fans it was very sweet but sad . There was also a white board to write messages on like they had outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles
Essex Angel your son was lucky to get tickets to see him shame he never got to go and also stay with you. I am sure you will see your son soon
Reality Junkie I agree Michael was robbed of having his moment by performing for the fans after such a long time. Its so unfair

I saw it on 4music earlier. I read somewhere its disapointing that the King of Pop never got a chance to do his final curtain call.
Another star taken before his time

I think it was the drugs he was addicted to and the pressure of performing 50 shows what caused his death. Its so sad he was took to soon. Its a loss for everyone around the world

Whats really funny is my son was in the army, has been abroad to numerous countries, leaves the army, goes to uni in Bangor Wales, meets his present girlfriend there and she's from around the corner from where we live.

Yes but i put the words ''would of'' as it was the date of the first o2 show
It should still be 'would have'

Why don't the English teach English? (To badly quote Henry Higgins)
"Of" is not a verb. Would HAVE is the correct way to type/say.
I'm not even a member of the society to educate in the correct usage.

I suppose "would've" sounds like "would of" and so people write it phonetically.
What is this the spelling/grammar police . I will write how i like and how i say things. Its ''would of'' in my opinion
in your opinion?
LMAO!!
Making up your own rules now are we?

You can speak and type how you want Roxi. But you just make yourself look foolish to state that correct usage of 'have' and 'of' is a matter of opinion.
think of it this way. You wouldn't say "I of done this", you'd say "I have done this".
Well it's the same rules when you are saying I would have done this

Not just me it gets to then
Oh I should've (or should of in Roxi's opinion) read on before I posted!
I think it's not so nice to pull someone up on their grammer . . . .but that's just me.
Grammar Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Provided it's not done in a mean way then it could be seen as constructive. Writing "should of" in a CV or job application probably won't help get the job if it needs writing skills. It stands out too much.

If he'd only been playing 10 dates, wouldn't he
of put the same energy into the rehearsals, Had he sadly died halfway through the dates, I could see your point, The 50 dates were over 8 months.
Its pretty obvious it was maliciousquote:Originally posted by Daniel J*:quote:Originally posted by Gorgeous Mimi:

You can't pull someone up on grammar in a constuctive way. Those of us who struggled with English at school will never get better. 'Tis much the same as some people will never be numerate.
