Sandra, don't be daft. And don't martyr yourself. It's neither required, nor wanted nor dignified.
I thought the conversation was a good laugh, myself.
what were we sayin ?

Top actor - and an Aston Villa fan!
I love Tom Hanks...always have done...I wish he'd come away from the Oscar seeking films though and go back to doing funny ones. I didn't like Road to Perdition at all, yes he can do serious, and he's proved that...now lets see him go hunt down Jack Sparrow!
bliddy 8 quid for a wee 3inch jessie doll for ma grandson tae
Gotta love Toy story, even if it is just for the wee ones.
*To infinity and beyond*

I love him too, but also think he should try and do some comedy or something light hearted... he used to do it in the 80s... Big/Bacheclor Party/Sleepless in Seattle etc.. Leo DiCaprio is the same, a good actor, but too busy trying to impress everyone with lengthy epics, and so desperate to get an oscar, that he's lost sight of why he became an actor.. to entertain, and to be diverse.. surely that is what being an actor is all about. Still, Hanks is brilliant. And does always seem very nice. Johnny Depp is brilliant, and does many many different roles,, and isnt afraid to do silly or goofy roles.

Which was kinda my point. I used Clooney as an example but Depp is even better.
Hanks has (or had) serious clout at the box office and he didn't really use it. So he's a favourite and loved by folk without actually leaving the mark he could have done up till now. Could still do, of course.
The idea that Hanks has won two Oscars and been nominated for x-many more and an actor like Depp has won nowt is laughable
Hanks has the talent but he hasn't used it enough. To argue against that is retarded.
