Sad news, he was such a rock for Tom. I don't think I've ever seen a stronger bond between father and son.
It's so sad. Tom's a real credit to his late father 
Oh how very sad. I hope Tom goes on to do well in the Olympics next year in memory of his Dad - I remember thinking how close they seemed and what a lovely family they appeared to be. Very sad news indeed
