Architects in Mexico have placed a toilet in an unused elevator shaft.
The receptacle is suspended near a glass floor, which is 15 storeys high.
Any future owners of the penthouse apartment will have a clear view of the drop below them.
HomeDSGN reports that architects Hernandez Silva Arquitectos (HSA) developed the apartment on the top of an ageing colonial-style building.
The firm explained that the space was originally intended for a second elevator, which was never installed.
HSA's press release describes the penthouse as using "the concepts of transparency and the simplicity of materials."
